Keeps calling and dosnt say anything or hangs up on me.

All they leave is a phone number. After the initial call I had to call them and tell them to remove my number from their list. Never could get a legible name for the Co. All the guy would say is "mumble, mumble, mumble Pharmaceutical" and what type of medication I wanted. They called me for 5 days 3 times a day until I had to block their number. I'm on the do not call registry and reported them to the FCC but all I got was a letter informing me my "complaint has been filed". I guess they don't want to do anything about it. I thought it was illegal to for telemarketers to call cell phones

Received call but no response to my answering.  Listened for a while and just heard some very low level mumbling and white noise.

From reading previous posting it sounds like another "medication" scam.  I use to only get them from southern Florida and Southern California by people who couldn't speak English very well.  Seems they moved into the bay area now.

They almost always ask for Brigit who may have had this number some time in the past.

If I have a few minutes I entertain myself at their expense by keeping them on the line as long as possible.  Some of the newbies get really excited as if they have a live one and will hang on for ever trying to figure out the stupid questions I ask them.

If time is short I just make the offended sounding remark "you want to sell drugs to my daughter"?

They get off the phone really fast.

Reporting these calls is absolutely a pointless exercise.  I initially took some time and care in doing that but the office that handles such complaints is probably so swamped with these they can't make a dent in  them.  

Since they often use spoofing your caller ID so it can look like the call comes from within your local area code I tried reporting it to Verizon.  I thought they might object to someone playing games with their network but they don't care either.

The only thing that might work would be if someone really does intercept a call to one of their children that is attempting to sell them "medications" then get them to commit as much information as possible and then report it to the police having jurisdiction over the place of origin of the call.

I love the boldness of this scam.  They ask if you want to renew your medications but if you inquire which ones do their records show are up for renewal they unfortunately don't have your records available at that moment.

These callers are like ticks and bad weather; an unfortunate part of life.
