These Middle Eastern people called my friend and told her that she owes them money. The guy on the phone gave her info such as her, SS#, bank acct #, and full name. She was tore up.

A friend just got a call from these same people. This is a scam.

Straight out idiots, but they do have all of my personal information. Wanting me to pay for a loan that was sent via EFT and will supply documentation of the funds transfer after I pay them. The conversation starts off with "do you have your attorney's phone number and information?". I sure do have my attorney phone number and information but I use his services for real legal issues. I guess I will kick the hornets nest (my bank) and run while these people are still around.

tonight I got a call from a middle eastern woman.  Called back and got Nathan Jones.   Clearly Middle Eastern.   Threatened me.  Gave me soooome of my information.  I did not confirm a thing.   He told me that there would be agents tomorrow at my home to bring me to the courthouse.   I asked him why and he said that I had a pay day loan outstanding.   The original loan was for $450 and now with outstanding fees I owe $1000.     I told him to send me the information and I would make it good.   He hung up.  Then called me 12 times.   I finally blocked the number and filed another complaint with the FCC.

THIS IS A SCAM. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

i JUST GOT A CALL FROM THESE PPL TODAY TALKING BOUT HER NAME IS MARY THOMAS AND SHE SOUNDS ASIAN!  AFTER I WOULDNT ANSWER HER QUESTIONS SHE SAID SHE WOULD HAVE THE POLICE CONTACT ME AND THEN I GOT FAKE 911 CALLS ON MY PHONE I CONTACTED THE REAL 911 AND THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF ANYONE FROM THERE TRYING TO CONTACT ME!  THIS IS A REALLY BAD SCAM BE WARE!

Just got this same call at my office, I work for a law firm.  Person calling was named Daniel.   He threatened to have someone from the police department come to my house and arrest me and "drag me to court" and then I will spend six months in jail along with my references.  I told him I was recording the call which I did.  I am now going to call the Sheriff's Department.  This has got to stop.

WE HAVE BEEN GETTING HARRASED BY THESE MIDDLE EASTERN SOUNDING CREEPS FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND I CALLED THE POLICE THEY KNEW SS# VERY CONCERNING I GOT FIRM WITH THEM ON THE PHONE AND THEY WOULD HANG UP BUT CALL BACK AND TRY AGAIN. I'M REPORTING THEM TO AS MANY AGENCIES AS I CAN. [***]
