Called mobile (in the UK) left no message

Called cell, left no message. Must be scam/spam.

Call office phone. After 3 rings, hung up and left no message.

Called cell......rang 3 times this morning at 9am and then left no message.

Called office phone.  I don't pick up numbers I don't recognize.  No message left.  Assuming scam/spam.

knew my name and then hung up on me.

Contrary to the above accounts, this caller was quite talkative.  He wanted an employee who doesn't work at this location, and I told him that it was against company policy to disseminate telephone numbers.  He said, “I don’t understand why you won’t give out numbers when they’re available through the Internet.”  I replied that those were my instructions.  He responded: “The Internet is a great place to find information, and I WILL find his number, trust me on that.”  Then he hung up.  Would you consider that threatening?  I do, and he’s not the first to pull that nonsense.  Also, if he's so sure of his position, why didn't he use the Internet to begin with and avoid calling here?
