I received a threatening phone call from this number (as did my sister on the same day).  A woman who identified herself as Leslie....she not only engaged in an illegal act by telling my sister private information that did not pertain to her, but also threatened me with legal action.  First of all, she claimed that she worked for the Texas State Financial Crime Unit (I live in Illinois) ---this crime unit is actually through the Austin Police Department and she never claimed to work with the police.  Secondly, these calls are not only a violation of FDCPA laws, but other laws as well.....the state of Texas has absolutely no jurisdiction over the state of Illinois.  If you receive a call from this number, report them to the Attorney General's Office as I have.  It's nothing but a SCAM

i too got a phone call from this number 512-827-3793 A woman who identified herself as she claimed that she worked for the Texas State Financial Crime Unit i didn't catch her name but she told me she was just the paralegal and she would tranfer me to a male investigator by the name of Thomas W. he told me that i got a online payday loan back in 2011 WTH! this never happen i advised him also that i learned in 2013 that i had identy theft and i don't know when it started (now i'm not just going to give anyone some money if i owe it i will pay but i don't) he
threatened me with legal action said i had to pay $579.14 or they would put a warrent out for my arrest in 46 hours and then they would call my job and let them know i have the warrent and if i can't come up with these funds then i would need to turn myself in and by bond would be $7814.63 if i couldn't come up with that then i would have to sit in jail for 21 days and then i would be a felon WTH! He said the loan was from cashnow but that was just the corp. office and that someone else gave me the loan but he didn't know who ( WHAT!) you call me to pay some money i don't owe to you or anyone else and has part of my personal information but you can't tell me the company name said i could take that up in court. these calls are a violation of FDCPA laws i'm going to report them  to the Attorney General's Office
