Called me on my home phone. No message left. Number does not match the company Level 3 Communications Hamilton OH. from a quick search I did. Smells like a scam.

A man with a very deep voice, articulate speech asked for head of household by name.  Told him he was not available, he said I might be able to help him.  Named an organization, which I didn't get, asked for donations for a fallen police officer fund.  He said he would send out a donation envelope if I could commit to a donation amount.  Told him I would need to see information first, then would consider.  He said he didn't want to bombard me with mail and asked if I could at least commit to donating $15.  Then he would send me an envelope.  I told him he would have to call back and speak with the head of household next week.  He respond and left me with a sincere sounding good-bye wishing me a great day.

So it's Sunday afternoon and I get a call that just says "Hamilton, OH" on the caller ID.  I checked here because even though I know folks in the Hamilton area, I didn't recognize this number.  I'm glad that I checked and read the prior responses.  WHY WHY WHY call on a Sunday afternoon if you're an actual legitimate telemarketer?  I didn't answer nor did I return the call as no message was left by the caller.

Robot/computers don't care if it's a Sunday afternoon. Legitimate or not,they are still a pest!

Wanted to know who owns my house

Yet another area code I'm going to block.  Doesn't matter to me.  I have so many area codes I've blocked that my phone is very quiet, and I have at least 90 numbers blocked.  I'll block area codes and prefixes attached together when the same area codes+prefixes come in twice with different numbers after the prefix.  It works well.  CPR Call Blocker is the device I have.  From what I understand the newer device has more features than my V.202.  Doesn't matter, it works well!
