In offshore accent, I was offered the chance to recover $300 paid for a three-year service contract (because their servers had failed, big-time.).  He wanted me turn on my computer, so they could do some processing and get me the refund almost immediately.  My turn to lie, I used the next part of our conversation to suggest that I was not the party named in his 'records.'  He was so anxious to entangle me, he wasn't the least bit concerned that I wasn't entitled to a refund and wanted to proceed, anyway..
