I receive so many of these on both my land line and cell that if the number is not in my contacts, I don't answer. Reported number to Do Not Call Violations.

Did not answer. I did not recognize the number.
 I believe its a scam.

They called I picked up, I know bad move. It says for better APR press 1. I hung up.

If you don't want to talk to these people, when someone calls that is not on your phone list, don't answer. I google the number afterwards and usually end up on this page. If I don't know you, I am not answering. Period. That is what VM is for. Most will not leave a message, it is not worth their time. Just my $.02. Have a nice day.

Got a call didn't answer, looked it up on search and this page came up. Thank you, I have now blocked the number.

called several times and no message when I called back I got number cant be contacted as dial I tried 2 times to make sure I dialed correct number

Called back, non working number.  Just another scammer.

Called me and i spoke to a human after a brief recorded msg on credit card offer. I cussed them out and told them they are in big trouble with the fbi and they cussed back and hung up. Then i reported them. What lowlife scumbags

It was a company claiming to have answers to my credit card charges and costs and how they might lower them.  They make it sound like they are tied to your credit card company.  When I let them know that they were calling a do not call phone number they can't hang up fast enough.  Would of thought after the first time I told them that they wouldn't call again.  but they did.  so now I reported to the Do not call list folks.  Hopefully they get a fine for doing that.

This is an ongoing scam and it is like Whack a Mole.  the FTC shut down at least 5 and probably 10 more pop up.  They hang up because they know they can't scam you out of money and they want to move on to the next victim.

Company with phone # 515 778-8053 called me before 5 am this morning. Awoke from a sound sleep and answered out of habit. Got an automated response saying they were calling from my credit card company and was instructed to press "1" to talk to a live person. I pressed "1" just to chew them out for calling me so early.
When I got the live person I informed them that it was not even 5 am and to not call me again. Person did not respond in English.

Definitely a cc scam. They couldn't explain what cc they were specifically calling about. When I told him I wasn't giving him my cc #, he hung up on me!

I get this call from "Sarah"  pretty much dailysaying  this is the last chance I have to get a lower rate on my credit cards blah blah blaah and press 1 to be connected right away to an agent.. I used to just hang up but now I waste their time.. so I proceeded to press 1 and have some fun. Today for example I had the guy the phone for a good 6 minutes. Played dumb until he asked me for my CC number. I asked him which one he would like, he replied any, I asked him to tell me the last 4 numbers of any of my cards and we will start with that one. he said  "1234" and I actually laughed out loud. I asked him if he would give me HIS CC  number and he said no. after some more chatting i   said you do realize that you are NOT getting my CC number right. He said "yes" I said ok good at least we are on the same page with that. I said once someone gives you  their number how long does it take until you people just clean them out?  He replied " about 15 second" I said  for once in your life be truthful... this really  is a scam right? he replied "yes". I said know and that is why I keep wasting your time because the longer  I have you tied up the less chance you have of getting some innocent persons information to which he replied " F k you mother F ker" I of course said "yes I did F your mother and you really should address me as daddy". to which he  got a little upset about cursed a few more times at me while I made fun of him then he hung up on me...So the short story is.... Yeah... its a scam... DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

Criminals dont care about the "Do Not Call" list nor do they care about the law either. The DNC list is for companies that are honest/legit. The only thing criminals care about is getting your information so they can get your hard earned money. Outside of that, they dont care about or the rules they are breaking. Just my opinion, if you dont reconize the phone number, dont answer and if no message is left, dont call the number back either as that just lets them know that the phone number is active, resulting in more calls.

I agree totally with what you are saying. I never answer a number I don't know. I figure if it's someone who really needs me they will leave me a message. I blocked this number, so if they try and call again it won't go through. :)

Block their number. That's what I did, so if they do call it wont go through.
