Responded to CRAIGSLIST AD.....wanted to pay by money order giving me double of asking price.....but wanting personal info from me......SCAMMER!

I had a table for 100 bucks on cragslist he offered $140.  Said he was pay money order and needed all my info.  Told him cash only did not send another message.  

I also had a message from this number with the same scenario.  Craig's list add.  The person offered more money than I was asking and asked me for my personal info.  Glad I didn't give it.  Didn't hear again from person. Also wanted to pay by money order.  That seemed okay.  I checked with my bank and they said a money order is safe.

Me, too.  This joker is still at it.  He used three other numbers for some of my other ads: 516-900-3481, 516-847-5708, and 516-847-5498.  

Sent the text at 5:15 a.m., too!  Geez, can't even wait until a reasonable hour to start scamming people.

The "tester" just did the same thing with me...responded to a craig's list ad...wanted to pay me $40 more than I was asking for the "favor" of accepting money order...asked for my full name and address -- no WAY! Scammer...

Just had a message from the same number offering to pay $40 more than the asking price on my Craigslist add.  Asking for full name and address and promissing to pay by money order. After reading the post on here I will not give him any personal info.

Same here, offered me $40 more for a Craigslist item, when I told him cash only, I never heard back from him! Scammer - don't give your info!!

Same moron, same story. Scam, do not give details, wish they would get a real job!

This guy's number shows up as a landline in Farmingdale, NY. He probably patches his text messages from another location, maybe overseas, hence the middle of the night messaging.
I called his number and he actually answered the phone. Said he was a furniture reseller.

Same scenario as everyone else. I had a Craig's list add and they text me that they would pay $40.00 more. Wanted my full name and address for a money order.
