Good advice Julie.  It's pretty simple folks. Rule of thumb - If you don't recognize the number DON'T ANSWER and DON'T CALL BACK. If it's important (your doctor, dentist, bank, etc) they will call you back or leave a message.  If they leave a message and it makes no sense - DON'T CALL BACK.  If you call back you're just telling them, they've reached a working phone.  Also if you have a message on your phone or answering machine change it to just a phone number something like "you have reached xxx xxx xxxx please leave a message. This tells anyone who knows you that they dialed the correct number and it also provides information to anyone who may have mis-dialed so they can redial the correct number.  But it doesn't provide any additional information to telemarketers and scammers. Most cell providers offer this generic message as a free voicemail service.  Never include your name or family name in your message.  You're only providing these scammers with additional information to go with the phone number they already have. At first you may find it difficult not picking up the phone for every call but you'll get used to it and have better peace of mind when you do.  Good luck!

I keep getting call from this number.  How do I make them stop.  I already told them I was on the "Do Not Call" list but they do not care

This number has called me numerous times in the past month. I don't answer calls without I'D info. I blocked it but still get the calls and a voicemail is left. All it ever says is your call back number is,and I am sure you guessed it,is 5163403006. After reading other comments I am sure it probably does have something to do with " Find the right job ".I am looking for work and it is one of the sites I have searched,so I will make some inquiries into this and if I am right,I will make sure they are aware that they have a very disrespectful,annoying,and unprofessional caller working for them who is,in my opinion,trashing their name and reputation and that I and all of you would appreciate it very much if they would put an end to this unprofessional behavior of a well known employement site

I have found the answer. This is " Find the right job ". I spoke with the director of the office who is making these calls. His name is Al Albano. He told me the reason you don't get a response when you attempt to answer the call is that it is a generated call to members searching for work and have answered yes to a survey when asked if they were interested in continuing their education. I told him that was a crock of BS because I have never answered yes to any survey asking this. That I am 57 years old and just seeking employment,that I do not need more educaation,I need a job and that I thought that they were a site with a good reputation of being capable of assisting me in obtaining one. Also tod him how unprofessional his office was making calls like this. His response was that all he could do is put my number on the do not call list. Of course I told him to do that but also informed him that was not enough because my number should have never been on their do call list because I had never answered yes to wanting to further or continue my education,the reason he said I was getting the calls to begin with. I then obtained his directors name and number " Damon Piccolo 480-658-2662 and told him I would be calling this person and see if their is something more that could be done to stop this from happening to other people. If you read this I suggest you make the call also and together we will stop this very unprofessiobal practice of "Find the right job" "

He, the caller, asked for my daughter by name, but hung up before I got the phone to her.

When I call back, the person in charge di not want to give his name or identify his company. He also refussed to give me his Chicago location.

this number called and woke me up! early morning calls are annoying and really pissed me off.

they don't know who they are calling and u don't know them.  have fun talk dirty to them.   I answered several calls from them with  no response on their end.  but  I am hoping and waiting for them to call.

Do not call list , now..

I received calls from from this number for the past two weeks. Nobody answered. It is very irritating.

Keep getting a call from 516-340-3006 several times a week.

I have it blocked, but the calls still continue.

I got this call and someone said good-by. I called back, rung 2 times and went dead. I appreciate something being done about these quacks. This is why so much is happen these day, these kind of people who calls for nothing should be locked up and throw away "KEY"
