I got one also and hung up a few seconds after picking up.   It's either money or it's another robocall for a political candidate.  These clueless moronic candidates don't get that we HATE these calls.

Just received the call and they asked my brother in law for the lady of the house. i think their looking to see if anybody is home!! they hung up as i was going to the phone.

got call a minute ago 9/21/20 1:35pm. Caller ID says, "Fraternal Order of Police". Didn't answer as I've been getting a lot of crazy numbers lately.  Sometimes Caller ID says "Private number", don't pick up those anymore either.  Have these people ever heard of Caller ID?

I guess they think people will pick up when they see 'police".  Guess again!  I'm so numb to these numbers that nothing surprises me anymore.  Well, I guess people have to work someplace.

Got a call from this number.  No caller ID available.  No one on the line either.

Do not answer or call them it is a scam, its a person tryign to get peoepl to donate money to a fake foundation, i "removed myself from the call list" and what it says is that there message box is full, the person doesnt even sound like they knew what to say hinting that it was not scripted.

I finally answered this call.  When they asked if I would donate I said sure and gave them a fake name and address for them to send me my donation form!  The calls then stopped !! LOL

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the New York State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.nysfop.com, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for New York police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

I received a call a recording asked for me by first name only then they hung up when I said yes

ARE YOU NUTS?! THESE CALLS ARE BOGUS!!!! THEY DONT CARE FOR ANYTHING AS SOON AS YOU ANSWER ANY QUESTION THEY HANG UP!! THEY ARE SEEING IF SOMEONE IS HOME! DO NOT PICKUP WHEN THEY CALL OR YOU"LL CONTINUE GETTING DIFFERENT COMPANY CALLS AT THAT TIME EVERY DAY!!!!!!!! (all though it is fun to play with these losers when they call and make them crazy like they make me!! just scream and yell at them ask them for their names etc. I even asked the guy if he wanted to donate money to my organization - which, like his, doesnt exist!!!)

Received a call this morning from this number and as soon as I answered they hung up! 2 minutes later I get a call from a number with the same area code from a company called PROTECH 516-605-0693 but did not answer. I'm on the DNC List and still get these annoying phone calls, what a waste!

I got a call from this number today and they were looking for my grandmother who has been dead now for over 20 years. They said they were with NYS Eternal order of police. They are looking for money. Just call back and they will put you on the do not call list.

I just got called from them and when i told them the person who they were asking for was not home, they hung up. 1st these is all a scam .. cause if they were really looking for donations they WOULD know who does all the donations in my home (usually that is shared between all the donation places). The person they were looking for is the only one listed on the phone book for the house. ..


TOTAL SCAM .. if you want to donate to the police .. go to your LOCAL precinct and find out how.

Think this is a paid company to solicit money for the FOP.  They send the FOP a token sum and keep the rest (like 75% or more.  The FOP  "Police Departments" in NYS and many other states are forbidden to make direct calls for donations.  Reason. it isn't their job, can turn ugly by turning into a pay for police protection scheme.  Besides that if it were a legitimate request for money for a charity, they could solicit help from the United Way.  Obviously they are not.  One way to check their credentials is to tell them that your company matches the funds of legitimate organizations and that you need their name, address and return phone number to check against company records.  They usually hang up when you ask them for that kind of information

I got a call from this number today, and when my answering maching started to record the message, they hung up. The caller name shown on my phone is "Frat Ord Police".
