Just do not answer, the time they hold you , they be hacking your life, I was told, by a law person. Phones come from NY, Columbia, Rochester ect. Or unknown.

The National Association of Professional Women is a total scam.   Don't give them a dime.

Really?  I was kind of looking into this until I found out they wanted to sell me some sort of "package".  I already thought this was disingenuine, since there are no packages listed on their site.  Can you explain why they are a scam?  I am very curious to know why.

Just called on my cell phone. I pushed End to disconnect call because I was at work, a minute later they call my work phone.... didn't leave a message on either phone.  I can only figure they must have gotten my information from some kind of paperwork I have filled out putting my cell and work number down....

Thanks for the heads up about the Nat'l Association scam. I did submit my info to them on linkedin and now I wish that I hadn't. They call and don't say who they are with and are rude, then they hang up.

It's one of two numbers I've seen so far that belong to the National Association of Professional Women. The other number is 212-202-3207. While this might sound like it would be a reputable organization, I looked up reviews on them, and they are a big rip-off! Check them out on Yelp and you'll see what I mean. They sent me something in the mail to join them, and it appeared to be free, so I sent in the application form. It turns out that when they call you, they try to get you to sign up for a $999 per year membership!!! If you say you can't afford that, they keep on with the sales pressure and keep lowering the price. It's a total scam!

I consider them scammers.  They're extremely pushy and offer a product that either doesn't exist or is of no value.  If you're interested in joining a legitimate women's group, try NOW (National Organization for Women). These callers wanted about $800 (if I remember correctly) to help me network!  I don't need help networking and there are better uses for my money (a weekend away would be more fun!).  If anyone is interested in networking opportunities, they're available free of cost by joining legitimate local groups (e.g., Chamber of Commerce) or professional groups that align with your interests. When someone requests money for something you can accomplish free, it's time to hang up!
