i recieved one today too!

Received a call from this number today.  Automated attendant claimed someone registered my phone number for a free security system giveaway sweepstakes with either Lowe's, Wal-Mart, or another retailier (can't remember which one) and that I was selected.  Once I was put through to a real person, she confirmed my number (easy with caller-id) and then proceeded to ask me for my first and last name, which I declined to provide.

She forwarded me through to a line with an automated attendant offering to remove my number from their calling list - I disconnected the call.

received a call today Tues, Jun 8, 2010. From Manhassett NY. Call was dropped once I answered.

I got a call from this number today. I pressed the ignore button. a few seconds afterward, i got a text that said "PLEASE CALL"

I also recieved one but did not answer it

YEAP ME TOO GOT THE PHONE CALL BUT I HUNG UP I HEARD THAT IT WAS FROM A RETAILER SOME SWEEPSTAKES ABOUT WALMART N ETC SO YEAH BUT I IGNORED IT FOR UR INFO BYE

I received a call and when I called back, a teller asked if I wanted to be removed from a calling list.

WE just hooked up service and started getting these calls - and a CHILD uses the phone. UGGG

it rang today but the call cancelled just after two seconds.

I received a call from this number.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I receive calls from random numbers which will ring only once and will disconnect.  If I call back I hear  a recording saying 'you have reached an automated removal line'.  Please enter your telephone number for removing your phone number.'  I hung up.

I have been receiving tons of calls from different numbers, and I just got a call from this number as well. I never answer calls from numbers that I don't know. Somebody has to stop these guys! It's really annoying! I just got a new phone number 2 days ago and, so far,  I've received more than 15 calls from different numbers. Every single number I look up, is listed in this site as scam. Is there anything I can do???

I received calls from this number twice a day. I picked up the second time, and the other side hung up.
