Something about Walmart, Zellers and other places having a promotion and my name was submitted by a friend and it was drawn towards a beautiful Vacation. I would receive $2500 towards it. Just press 1 for further details. Did so, (For Fun) and that person asked me if I was over 25 and possessed a valid Credit Card.
Yup I said and was put on hold for a Travel Rep.
The travel rep came online and wanted me to listen to her gig. I asked what my name was as she should have it there, seeing how a friend of mine submitted it. She came up with privacy issues, Blah, blah ....
She then hung up .....

Same crapola ... friends or family put my name in a drawbox after shopping there (NOT!) and by some incredible luck - mine was picked. Of course, I just have to give them a credit card number (to which they will charge a great deal of money) to give me my free gift.

This scam is going around...I've been called by various numbers on this one for the past month. What is it they say: "there is no free lunch"

Surely no one could fall for this fraudulent offer!

Just got a call from that number but I don't answer if I don't recognize the number.  Since I don't know anyone in area code 516 - I simply ignore it......

516 453-6933 just called.  I don't recognize this number so I didn't answer.  No message left.
