Receiving calls from this tele # who in turn hangs-up ;-(

Same here...receiving calls then the hang up...when you call back all circuits are busy

Yes I got strange phone calls from this number also.

called .. no one at the other end....

I got a call from this number... caller id said SPECIAL PROMOTIONS... let it go to voicemail and they hanged up!

these people call the same time every morning for the past 2 weeks now. i have yet to answer.
all it says on the caller id is "manhasset, ny"

I am receiving numerous calls from several numbers in the exchange (516-453-6960, 516-453-6992, & 516-453-6968) for the past four (4) months (September – December 2012).  They never leave a message; just call and hang up.

The same number keeps calling me.

I get the same thing from 1-516-453-6968 for 5 months now . Does anyone know who they are?

They call daily to offer their newspaper!!!!!

This person calls me twice a week. I once picked up but then the person says hi and says my name and just listens. Really weird.

Same as above. I  try to block it or put on a special annoying ringtone so I don't have to even look at the caller id.

Called twice within a few hours. I answered second call and they hung up after I said hello a few times.

It's Newsday.  I've asked them to remove me repeatedly

Called offering sunday Newsday for 75 wks at 75 Centsa week  I had cancelled some time ago.  Probably caught off guard because I answered.  Good deal though  I'm sure it wasnt for real... says hes calling all recently cancelled acooutns and offering this deal...

From all the previous posts from 2015, it appears that this is probably Newsday looking for a subscription renewal.
Terrible newspaper and besides, being an Optimum customer I could read it online or through their awful app for free if I chose to do so.
I used *67 to call back hoping to speak with someone who could remove my number. There's a message that says, Welcome to 800 Sevices. So it's not Newsday, it's a general telemarketer. It claims to let you remove the number you're calling from. I never trust that as it tells the telemarketers your number is valid.

Repeat caller that I don't bother answering.
