I got a call from 516-833-3439 claiming I owed money for a loan from Cash Partners of America.  They stated that I was in serious trouble if I didn't take care of the amount.  They said that my wages would be garnished and that I would be taken to court.  They are now telling me that they going to send me to court for an amount greater than stated.  The first time I was called the person stated that the company's name was Bart Thomas Law Office.  The second was LLC law offices (Limited Liability Law offices).  When I asked about the accounts, the dates, and the bank the money was deposited to I got no information.  I looked up Cash Partners of America to call them and find out any information about this situation and all I saw were complaints and statements claiming it was a scam.  When I called them back to tell them my findings the representative named Shane Adams, hung up on me.  I also reported them to the BBB and other organizations that deal with fraud and scams.

This is just another attempt at the same old scam.  Received a message that if I or my attorney of record did not call them immediately, good luck on the trouble that will befall you.  I receive these messages about every 3-4 weeks for about 1 or 2 days and then they stop calling until next month.  I have nothing that I owe to any cash advance place or anything, so I ignore them.  Clark Howard and even the FBI have put up warnings about these types of scammers.  Their final warning, NEVER give your credit card, bank or any other information to any one who calls you.  Unless you initiate the call, it is most likely a scam.  Don't let their legal jargon and threats get to you.  They do this because there are people out there that will believe them and pay them to make it go away.  And then it never does because they know they can SCARE you out of your money.  DON'T LET THEM SCARE YOU! (By the way, you can't be put into jail, have your pay garnished, etc.. for not paying off a payday loan - Look it up!) Hope this helps!

I just received a voice mail message at my job stating that I needed to call back with my attorney's information.  I don't know who these people are, but I work at a federal installation, this is not cool.

I received calls at work and home from 516 833 3439. I block my # and call them back repeatedly to harass them. Eventually they stop answering and calling until a month or so later.

I received a phone call from 516-833-3439 at work today. She said she had a complaint against my last 4 digits of my social security number, and she needed information from me or my attorney. When I asked her what this was about, she said "haven't you been briefed on this?" and then hung up on me. I had no clue what this was about until I googled the phone number. I owe no payday loans.
