Suspected Scam by a person named Michael Owens claiming to represent the Publisher's Clearing notifying me that I had won a second prize of $495,000.00 from phone # 516-833-3593.

Wow!  My elderly mom got the same call today from Mike Owens telling her the exact same thing...Second place in the Publisher's Clearing House, $495,000.  Fed Ex coming tomorrow!

Did you get the money or not?

Mike Owens called here, i did my research all day ..... very fatigued... second prize winner in publishers clearing house to my friend and immediately i had to search. the area code is how i recieved confirmation. Wow do people go 2 great lengths in the world. PCH does NOT CALL WINNERS BY PHONE OR HAVE A 650 THOUSAND FIGURE FOR WINNERS.

Received a call from Michael Owens stating my husband won 2nd prize of $650,000 from PCH. Called back the number 516-833-3593 and finally an answering machine picked up stating it was Steve Morgan. Seems like a scam according to the previous posts....

just got one...he got mad when I said I didn't want to give out my personal information over the phone because it could be used for identity theft. This is my second scam call this week. The first said I would recieve 850k now this one with 650k. If they were real I would be a happy man.

I got the same kind of call today ; I did the same as dj .  I called the number back and got an answering machine with  Steve Morgan  message .  I was also told that I had won $650,000 as a second prize from publishers clearing house .  He gave his name as Michael Owens  and said that PCH had been trying to reach me since May of 2010.  He said that the check was being held by a bank by the name of Lloyd's TSB .
This is the second time this week that someone has tried to pull one over on me .  It pays to be on your toes when someone calls that you don't know .

My parents got numerous calls yesterday saying that my mom won 2nd prize of $650.000.00 in publishers clarying house
My mom has been a member for 20 years or more so really thought this wasn’t fraud. He told my mom this is not a joke, and you will be receiving a box from ups between 10-2 tomorrow with all the information how to claim prize, information for a lawyer, and would you like to announce you won in public or keep silent. My Mom said you’re full of BS this is a scam and hung up, they called back and said really this is not a scam and if you don’t claim money it will be sent to united nigro fund. My mom said okay we will see when I get package. Then at 10:00am today she get’s a call saying that her package is help up in customs in fort worth Texas and would not be released until you pay 1% which would be $3500.00 to a gentle men named Mr. Wentworth in customs said he would contact lawyer to coordinate money and his name is Jacob Miles who is a federal state lawyer.
Number to call for man who first called mom is Mark Daniels who gave her a claim number and check number she will be receiving she won.
They keep calling and harassing my parents to pay money to get package. Caller id number is 1-516-833-3593. Publishers said just hang up on them everytime they call back, because it will cost them money calling not you. I want Justice done taking advantage of elderly people. My dad called back to get a address to send money and they kept drilling him about do you have cash on hand mr. My lawyer will contact you on how to send money to get your package. Fraud,

Another PCH scam wanting $6,500 to get my $650,000 winnings out of customs.  The REAL PCH does not work that way !

Returned call nobody answered.

Omg! I got a call from 516-833-3593. He said he was Michael Williams and I had won $650,000 and they are ready to fed ex the check. He is to have it delivered 11/20/11.
I told him to make it public and he didn't flinch.
Gave me claim number, check number, and his direct number to call back. I have not called back.
This is creepy!

SCAM my grandpa got this phone call and thought it might be real and got excited i googled the number and it is a total scam i hope that are younger generation watches out for our elderly this is a horrible thing to do to people remember if they want you to send money it is not real ....

Got a call from Michal Owen saying my husband had purchases a ticket @ Walmart for $5.00 and won $1.5 Million.  I think he gave away that it's likely a  scam, since later in the conversation it became $1.2 Million.
Wants to call me back in the morning to schedule having three guys in black suits arrive here along with a CIA agent!   Gave me code #, Serial # and a certified Check number to hang on to. When the guys in the black suits arrive, they will take me to the Moneygram in my town where I get the receipt and then we proceed to my bank. No way! I am not getting into their car, they are not getting into MY car! Told him they would have to follow me to wherever we are going and that my FBI agent son-in-law will be with me first thing in the morning to accompany us all.  Also told them I work for the Sheriff's Division and am always armed. So let's see if he does call back in the morning. While on the phone, he was savvy enough to put me on hold to check out my job with the Sheriff'. Is Michel real? Well, let's see if he actually calls me in th morning.  I will be ready with my gun and secret service following us around to the bank, if indeed this happens. What's wrong with this world!
