SPAM call - automated machine calling to "reduce my rate" - bunch of BS and just another fake number they use to robo dial and harass. For all of you against government regulation, remember these harassing phone calls. Companies are not people, they are entities that take advantage of people and peoples labor for their own profit. Report them every time to our government regulators:

I got the same call to "reduce my rate on my credit card"

These stupid Robo spammers are so lame. Their message starts on in   Midsentence. Blah blah blog reduce your rates press nine to be removed.

I am so sick and tired of receiving these unwanted calls from different numbers telling me this is the last opportunity to reduce my credit card rates. Report them and nothing is ever done. I would like to blow a whistle hard in their ears every time they call. They refuse to remove me from their list. I wish it were the LAST call they make - but it never is.

Unknown caller. I work from home and get these irritating calls all day long even though I'm on the do not call list. Makes it hard to screen telemarketer calls from actual business calls.

Let it go to voicemail, but definitely something about reducing my CC rates. However, the first part of the message was cut off. The recorded lady sounded lovely, though...

You can block the number on your cell phone.

they usually hang up before it gets this far, but is very funny.

I have Caller ID. I don't even pick up the phone. I write down the phone number and look it up on Google and see what people say about who called. It it's late at night, I just unplug the phone and plug it back in the morning when I'm ready to start the day again. If you don't pick up the phone, they don't have too much of a chance to bug you.

These calls MUST stop. Very annoying to make the effort to get to the telephone for this type of scam. Someone is responsible for this!!

receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send
information on how to file a lawsuit. If enough of us file and win, that
should have an impact. What a great revenge, earning money FROM them!
Information on their website says the FCC have shut down several of these
scams.

According to Google, the number belongs to an emergency locksmith in New York.  Either the scammers work for that place, or they have spoofed the number.  Probably the latter, in which case reporting to the DNC list won't do any good.

I have Caller ID, and I don't pick up the phone for any number I don't recognize.  I figure if it's important, they will leave a message on my voice mail.  If no message is left, I Google it to see what info I can find on them, and I pay attention to whether or not they keep calling.
