We keep receiving calls from this number but will never leave a message. I have seen the number several times on the caller ID so I don't answer.

My office gets a call EVERY DAY.  EVERYTIME I call them they answer with a different name.
Call back, tell them to remove you, and keep a log of every call they make after your request.  You can sue a company after the 3rd call.

I just received a call at work from this number. They are asking for the owner (my dad) and I said no he's not here right now. I asked if they wanted to leave a message and they said no. I then asked what company they are calling with and he just sat there for a few seconds and then hung up.

This number calls the office I work at least twice a week for the last 6 months. They always ask for the owner and I ALWAYS say he is not in and then they hung up on me before I can say anything else! At this point I know that voice and phone number of the guy who calls and will sometimes for fun say "just one moment please" and put him on hold with our annoying music until he hangs up!

1-516-997-4490  Call from this firm identified this time as Woodstock Financial.  The secretary who would not forward the call to the President was verbally abused by a man called Mike B (last name not clear)  When asked to spell his last name the verbal abuse began.  Was call a [***], [***], used the "F" word repeately.  The abuse continued and was unsolited.  I believe New York has a hate crime law and if I had recorded proof I would file charges.

We received a call from someone calling themselves John Barris from WFG at 1-516-997-4490 called at 10:06am EDT on June 9, 2008. He asked for the head of our parent company - by first name only. I told him that he had the wrong number & he asked for the name again. I told him that I could not transfer him and I did not know the real number (he asked several more times, and each time I told him no in an increasingly frigid tone of voice). When he asked for my name, I then asked for his, his company name, and his phone number. He refused to give me his phone number, and so I told him I'd look up his number myself (our caller ID is online). I maintained my icy polite stance in case this was a legitimate call, but after reading this website I wish I had been ruder.

This caller always has a new company today it was Woodstock.  This one was actually nice and offered to call back next week. I am sure they will. They will not take no for an answer.  Usually we will put them on hold.  Today he took no for an answer and hung up.  Must be a new one.  The other ones are just down right rude.

Today I received a voicemail message from this company that made me laugh!  It was just deep breathing on message!  I've never gotten a voicemail like that before, especially at work!

Got a call from this number, the man asked for my boss, I told him he was out and I asked him if he would like to leave a message and he said that his name was Shaun from Woodstock Construction.

Received a today from a guy asking if "Will" was in; I responded by saying Will was in the field and asked to take a message.  He said to tell him that Art Brady called rom Mr. Maroschick's office.  When I asked what it was about, he said "he knows".  I recognize this pattern and immediately wrote down the number from the caller ID.  My suspicion that he was a flake was just confirmed by other users of this site.

Says his name is Kevin, the company is Woodstock and it is in reference to "new business"

This guy called and asked for Clint and said was expecting his call.  I asked my boss and of course the asnwer was "no".  He gave the name of Woodstock contruction. This company has called several times. Offered to put him into voice mail, he agrees then just hangs up.

Was getting calls from them, however after they rudely hangup with out leaving a message for the person they are trying to reach, I call back and do the same, only I block my number.. It is so worth the long distance charge...

Claimed to be Dan from Woodstock.  Asked for the owner as if they were good friends.  He wasn't rude, but would not leave a message; said he would call back later.

Call this guy every hour on the hour.  If you find that the line is busy it is working.  If the line is busy start calling every 5 minutes past every hour.

I just had the same thing happen to me.  He asked to speak to our former CEO and when informed that he was no longer available, he asked to speak to "who ever ran the company".  When who was calling he said "Mike" to which I replied "Of?"  And at that point he told me Woodstock and then began his tirade to get the name of someone who ran the company.  And it just went downhill from there, ending with him threatening to "tell on me".

This guy has called from various numbers in NY claiming to be many different companies mostly says his name is Mike - sometimes something else.  Acts like my boss is expecting his call -or tries to get his cell number. My boss has even asked him to remove our number from his call list. we have asked REPEATEDLY to be removed from his call list - and he has refused to do so. we have gotten calls almost every day for at least the past six months - it has gotten to a point of harrassment - he hangs up on us when we ask that he not call again.

I got a call today from this guy who identified himself as Dan Barton from Woodstock.  He asked for the president by his first name, not his last.  When I started grilling the guy about what was the nature of his call, etc. he came up with that he has spoken to him before and he was following up on some European shoes, size 42.  Now, since my President is European, that was a pretty good strategy.  I know the type of caller this is and I have been the "gatekeeper" for a long time.  I always google the number to confirm legitamacy. Needless to say, the President isn't getting the message.

Called the office today. Asked for the owner... Owner isn't in this office.. told the guy (polietly) to hold.... he eventually hung up after 3 mins.. muwwaahhhhahahaha ... I usually do that to all solicitation calls...
