I just received this call this morning looking for my husband.  They were rude and would not tell me what the call was about-just that they need to speak with him only.  there would be no reason for a lawfirm to contact us-so I new something was up right away.  who the heck are these people??

Overton Russell and Doerr located in Clifton Park, New York, acts as a collection agent for Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, New York and possibly some others. While they allegedly identify themselves as a law office, I do not know that they are. You can ask them to send proof via certified letter that the debt is owed and if they can not do so, then the debt is not valid. Future correspondence will be considered harrassment and will be dealt with as such in the civil and possibly criminal courts. A simple demand for payment is not proof. They must have proof from the original debtor. Good luck.

They are a collection agency and they can place a judgment on you.  Try working with them if you own money to any hospital in the area.  That is the law office the hospital in the Capital Region uses to make people pay the hospital bill.

I just received a call from this number, specifically asking for me.  She told me she was from the Law Firm Overton Russell and Doerr.  The Called ID said Clifton Park. I did not know the number and normally would not answer the phone. The only reason I answered it was because my brother lives in Clifton Park and although it is not his number, it could have been a friend of his telling me he had an accident.  Right away she said before I speak with you I have to verify your address.  That's when I questioned her again about who she is, who she is with and what is this all about.  She repeated what shew had told me but now she added it is about a medical condition change.  I asked her,  For Who?  She couldn't tell me that until I gave her my address.  This all sound fishy to me so I told her you tell me what address you have and I will tell you if you are right.  She said she can't do that.  Then I told her she then has a problem because I DO NOT give out my personal information over the phone When I do not make the call.  She then I will just have to put down you refuse to verify.  I said Good bye.
It was after that I googled the # and see it is the law firm and they do Collection work for Albany Medical Center and other Hospitals.  I have never been in Albany MC or any other hospital in the Albany area.
Spoofing???

These people called my fathers number and because I was waiting for a call I picked it up the man asked to speak to him so I lied and claimed he wasn't at home and he said make sure he calls us back and then rudely said thank you and hung up. He wouldn't tell me WHO he was or WHERE he was from and looking this up as it turns out as people claim these guys are fakes, from my research. These guys are freaky and if I were you I wouldn't pick up the phone for these suckers they're really scary and I don't trust them AT ALL!

They called and left a message to call back ASAP. So obviously I called back. She asked to confirm my phone number and I did. I then asked her whats this about? And she replied she needed to confirm my address first. I told her no, tell me first what this is about. She said she couldnt so I told her “well then youll have to call me back” I hung up and clearly she didnt call back

I got this call about 9:45 am.  There wasn't anyone on the line.
