The call came at 7:55 p.m. to my home on North Battleford, Saskatchewan; I did not answer it because I did not recognize the area code or the number. They left no message. I Googled the number and a few dozen websites were listed for DOMINION AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION, 201 King St., London, Ontario, N6A 1C9. Phone: 519-434-2185 Fax: 519-439-9040.

I know no-one at that place of business, so am assuming it was either (a) a telemarketer or (b) someone attempting an identity theft.

Of course a third option is that someone I know, perhaps on vacation in Ontario, may have been trying to reach me from there, but this is highly unlikely, as 7:55 p.m. in Saskatchewan is probably 9:55 p.m. (or even 10:55 p.m.) in Ontario! And why would they call from the D.A.A. office, which was no doubt closed at that time?

It could have been a wrong number too, I suppose.

Its a road side assistance service, would only receive a call if you had service done recently or they needed info for your account.
