I don't answer for numbers I don't recognize. This number left a voicemail, but it was an automated message. I only caught the end of it on my voicemail, just said to call this number back. Not gonna happen.

I received 3 calls from this number today.  I didn't answer and an automated voicemail said to call the number in reference to a case. Not going to happen. The number is now blocked

Left an automated message claiming that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and that I should call the number back to get more information. Some sort of fishing attempt, I would guess.

Didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number. Also got the tail end of a voicemail saying to call number back. Nope, not gonna call back

Returned call. Someone answers and said that she was with IRS.

You're right-the IRS does NOT call, nor does it send emails, texts, smoke signals, or ANYTHING else other than via the United States Postal Service-usually a CERTIFIED letter, but can be normal

Call showed from Arizona (I'm in California) - didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up. They left automated voicemail but it was cut off, just saying to call number back. Didn't call back and they called AGAIN and same thing (partial VM saying to call back). Didn't pick up and blocked

I got the IRS story too. Clearly a scam. Called to give them crap. Guy with heavy Indian accent answered. Let him have it. Not only third world indian people invading us here. but now scamming us by phone. Amazing!
