Young man called and asked for Steven.  (No one here by that name.)  I told him he must have the wrong number, he thanked me and hung up.

Just got a call from these people wanting to verify my name, address, and birthdate before they would tell me who they were or why they were calling. I refused to give them that information without knowing the reason for the call, and the guy on the phone got very rude with me. I ended up hanging up on him. They did have the correct information, except for the address, but wouldn't tell me what they were or what they wanted.

A guy named Peter called from this number and left a message saying he was calling from Tucson, AZ, but did not give an organization name he might be with.  He knew my first name and stated he wanted to update a "financial application" that I was listed as a reference for.  He did not give a name of who this application was for. He also left a different number to call back: 866-427-4865, with some long extention that I couldn't get cause he said so fast.

Have received many calls from this number...have never answered them, but today I called back and they answered "GC services". I looked them up online and they seem to be a collection agency.

I get at least two phone calls a day from this number and have for about the past two weeks. They never leave a message and when I block my number and call it back, it's a busy signal.

I received a call from the above phone number on my cellphone and I was wondering if it was from one of those places that's a foreign country, that tries to get people in the United States to call racking up major charges for the victim.

Got a call from this number, caller asked for a reference for a job applicant named Robert Duprey. Caller id gave caller name "Operations Division". Caller gave call back number of 877-551-9478 x6844.

Collection Agencies break the laws all the time and it is your right to take care of them by reporting them to the FTC.

Thanks for the real phone number...I will report to the FTC what the identifying phone # is showing up on caller ID and report the actual phone # they are calling from.

Called my number asking for info about a cousin I haven't talked to in years.  Wouldn't say what they wanted. They mentioned my father's first name as a reference and wanted to contact him.  I said my  Father passed away 3 years ago. At that point Operations Division caller hung up on me.

These people call my job all the time - I work in payroll.  They tell me they are calling about a garnishment and then put me on hold before they tell me who the employee is - they call every day.  I'm sick of this $hit.  Notify me in writing if you are legit!

GS Services - this is correct. I asked the caller what company he was calling from and he told me. His name was George. He has called 6 times today! The third time he was told we didn't need their services and was politely asked to remove our number. That's when he became abusive... My co-worker hung up on him and then he actually called back 3 more times! I've written to their corporate office about this. Their contact info is here: www.gcserv.com.
