I am so damn sick of running to the phone and answer and no one on the other end.  If i try to redial it, it says I am not allowed to dial this number from my phone.

Lots of solutions for that. Cheapest one is don't worry about answering the phone, if important they will leave a message. Another solution is to get a cordless phone with caller id and carry it with you.

I just got this call.  All that the location on the caller id said was "United States".  The actual voice on the other side had an Indian accent.  I started laughing when she said she was calling from Medicare.

I just received a phone call from 523-456-9458.  The caller hung up when I answered the phone.  When I called back, the automated message said the number was disconnected...Of course, there was no company name or person's name behind the number.

Here we go again.  Don't these people realized they are no dealing with dummies?  We keep seeing the same phony phone calls coming in and we don't answer.

Indian accented female called stating she was calling to update my medicare information. Used my name and wanted to "verify" my phone number. Wanted to know if I got my new Medicare card.  Played along until I got bored.

Same with me. When they called, a young man with an accent wanted to "verify that I got my Medicare card. When I said yes, he wanted my Medicare # I said, "I'm sorry, I can't give it to you. I don't know who you are." A woman got on the phone and asked me the same question twice. I repeated what I said before and added that I will call Medicare myself to see if they make these calls. Since they already have my member number, they don't need it.   I was not surprised when she hung up. ....We don't need more of these people......

When I tried to find where this call originated, no list showed 523 as an assigned area code.

Medicare scam.  Christie saying she is a Medicare Service person.  Asking me if I was over 59 and do I have Medicare.  Told her I was calling Medicare and if she was legit, she could call back.  Medicare says they send a letter and you must call them.
