- cheryl replies to SleepDeprived| 1 replyThis is a scam...I live in Pilot Point Tx and we have a bank here called Point Bank. They say that our debit card info has been compromised (even though we don't have an account there or a debit card there) and we are to call to give them all of our information so that it can be resolved. It is a scam and a really old one here in Texas. Do you live in the area? I have always assumed that they call every phone number in a certain area code knowing they might get lucky and find someone who actually has an account with that bank.
- anonI tried giving them a fake cc # to see if they would accept it or not. They must have a merchant account because they were able to see that it was fraudulent (i modeled it after an old CC# that I had).
- kevinGot a call from this # at 6:45 AM. Was told by the computer generated message that my debit card had been suspended. The prompt ask me to enter my debit card # so I just hung up..

- SwarleyWe have received two identical phone calls from this number, both at 6 in the morning. We did not fall for the scam but are getting seriously irritated by waking up to this! We have filed a complaint with the FTC regarding this telephone practice. If you're interested in catching these scam artists, here is the link to file your own complaint:

- Ponder replies to cherylLet those go to voicemail....they will stop calling.
- nicoleaI got the same message. I had a voice mail stating that it was the security department from my bank. That they froze me account. It also said to push one to be connected. I called my bank after i listened to the message. It is a SCAM. Do not give any info over the phone!! I also tried to call the number back. I just get a recording!

- msedrnFour calls to two cell phones in this household on 2 consecutive days. Like someone else who posted, we also live in Pilot Point, TX and have accounts from Point Bank. They do not do business this way. In fact, they do not even have the 2 cell phone numbers that the caller used. Obviously a scam.
- Caller: Unknown - the caller says they are Point Bank, but this is not true
- kto1896got a phone call from this number -it was some kind of automated
system - said my cc is blocked and asked me to punch in 16 digits
of my cc number - I dropped this call immedeately and called my bank
directly. Bank security said my account is not blocked and was not
blocked and they did not call me today - SLWritesI too got this pre-recorded message on my cell phone (AT&T), though thank heavens it came in the evening, not the wee hours of the morning. My message was from "Brighton Bank". I really hope no one falls for this stupid old phishing scame.

- bachluvrJust received a call on my cell from this number. Same scam as reported earlier. Once they ask for personal information HANG UP. This is how identities can be stolen. By the way, i have a pay by the minute cell phone service so they are attacking all cell phones.

- ddgdigWe are also getting calls on our home number as well as 4 cell phones about an account with POINT BANK. Out of the 3 of us, none of us have accounts with POINT BANK. It is very annoying to say the least! We are getting between 3 - 5 calls a week and the number comes up on the caller ID as PRIVATE.
- too close for comfortOne of my cell phones received a call from this exact number and a man with a foreign accent wanted credit card information to pay on a debt I had. He could only give me vague information about the supposed debt.
