whats fraud about the number? they called me about some legal action against me.

this number keeps calling me about some legal papers needing to be served

This number keeps calling about “legal documents”. I spoke with my attorney, there is not a single legal case against me. What he told me they do is this, the call you and claim to have some legal case against you. They essentially blackmail you into making a payment to them to keep a warrant from being issued against you. It’s all an elaborate scam. Ignore it.

Debt Extortion Scam

Courier Services and Process Servers do not know what is contained in the documents they are paid to serve/deliver. They don't cold call a recipient to inform them of a "failed attempt to deliver", as that would alert the recipient someone is attempting to Serve them. Anyone explaining what they are delivering, saying "matter attached to your SSN", "you have officially been notified", "deliver legal docs and to have ID ready"  or offering an alternative "solution" to avoid delivery is a scammer. Real process servers don't need to set a time to deliver any documents nor do they threaten legal action if you don't call them.

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

two missed calls from a state's area code that i haven't lived in in 7 years (different from the vm callback) with voicemail saying to call back the 531 number about failed delivery attempts from "pro serv"

A call from pro something something asking about documents. Scam caller. Ignore

I spoke to a Adrain from that number he said I owe over $8000 on two accounts combined he had my social and all of my personal information. The so called debt goes back to 2011-2012, he freaked me out because that i a lot of money and he made me second guess myself because he has my personal information. I have been a victim of fraud in the past so I m thinking it's that. He scared me. How do these people get all my info?

Abusive threats to call trying to get my address

Received a VM from Pro Serve from an 800 number and told to call this number  (531) 215-7201 to get legal documents from them they had been trying to send me. Googled it and found out it's a scam and will not be calling them back.

Received calls about papers they supposedly tried to serve. Called them. Got disconnected before anyone picked up. I’ll never call again

They've been after me for years, I’ve been in the same house for 20 years. I wouldn’t worry about it

Call me at 8:04am saying there has been 2 unsuccessful attempt to deliver important documents, and for me to call 531-235-7201. They call 4 times a day

I just got a missed call from an Nyssa, Or number (541) 293-0297 telling me "this is Amber with ProServ reaching out o inform you that there has been two unsuccessful attempts to deliver important documents requiring your attention please contact the issuing agents office at 531-215-7201 and reference your phone number through their automated system".

Received a phone call from 971-309-1015 telling me "this is Amber with ProServ reaching out o inform you that there has been two unsuccessful attempts to deliver important documents requiring your attention please contact the issuing agents office at 531-215-7201 and reference your phone number through their automated system"

Just got the same message from “Amber at Proserv” just like so many others. The number that called me was a 725 area code but the number they gave me to call and reference my phone number was 531 area code. The message says two attempts to serve me, I’ve been in the same house for years.

Same as most everyone here... amber from proserv saying I need to call this number because of 2 unsuccessful attempts to deliver documents etc etc. I block the numbers but they just call from a new one. Annoying
