This number just called my cell phone. I don't normally answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize, but I answered it this time just in case it was the unemployment office. When I answered I had to say "Hello" twice. Then, a computerized recording came on and said they were calling about fraudulent activity associated with my social security number and then it told me to press 1 to speak to an "investigator". I immediately hung up and blocked the number. This is the 4th call in 2 days with that exact message and there is NO doubt in my mind that it's the same crook calling but "spoofing" the Caller ID to make it look like it's coming from different numbers. Yesterday (December 10th) they called from 877-451-7819, 512-239-1417, and 512-239-6119. I think I'm just going to keep not answering the calls. If it's the unemployment office they can leave a message or contact me some other way. The whole reason I'm getting bombarded by these calls all of a sudden is because I answered the first one!! I wish I had never opened that can of worms!
