This caller has been calling me for months. They are claiming that they are with the "warranty department" (from where, who knows?) Each time I ask for the name of the company that would be servicing my warranty, I get a different answer, however each company that they tell me, I look up on the BBB and they all have atrocious ratings. I have asked to be removed from their calling list on SEVERAL occasions. Since the most recent request to be removed (2/22/18), I have started documenting how many times a day they call me, times and phone numbers. And I try to speak to someone every time, so that I can get more information from them. I am also a part of the national DNC registry, thanks to the person that had my phone number previously. They have a serious disregard for legality and I am prepared to fight for my right to have a peaceful life without being interrupted multiple times throughout the day for something that I have directly stated on multiple occasions I do not want, and will never want. Every time they call they tell me that I will not have the option to "think about it" and this is the last courtesy call I will receive, yet I get another call a few hours later. They are well aware that what they're doing is illegal as I have only found one of their phone numbers can be called back. Based on my research they are somehow using Disconnected Verizon Wireless lines (illegally, as Verizon has sued them in the past for this) to place the calls from a local number, without having to worry about anyone calling them back. This particular number is yet another disconnected one.

You say that Verizon has sued them in the past?  Then what is the company name?

I guess I should have specified that Verizon has sued a "Warranty Company" in the past. I'm not 100% sure that it is the same company, a different company altogether, or the same people using a different company name. The company that was paid was Dealers Warranty, which is what they told me was the name in one of my calls, but like I said, I get a different answer every time I ask what the company name is, so it's difficult to tell who the actual culprit is.

Well, I see you have a solution, albeit not a simply one.  You say they gave you company names and that you have looked them up on the BBB?  That means that you have an address as well.  You file a TCPA lawsuit against every one of those names.  Though discovery, you will get the name of the company calling you and add them as a defendant.  You will walk away with thousands, and you will be able to post who they are here so that others can sue them as well.  That should put them out of business.

Calls but does not answer

I got a call from 561-562-7979 on February 27, 2019 at 10:23 am.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.  My caller ID said, "Out of area," usually a sure sign of a telemarketer.

A few weeks ago, I had a call from Rachel from car warranty. Everyone has had calls from Rachel from card services so maybe Rachel switched jobs.  Let's all wish her good luck in her new position.  Anyhow, no company name was given and as she started to talk I hung up.  I don't have a car warranty so there is no reason for anyone to be calling me about a warranty.  I have been on the federal Do Not Call list for over ten years.

If this continues I'll block the number.
