When call is answered there is a hang up. When you call back this is the recording Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and you will be transferred to the next agent. No one ever answers.

I answered & the guy (or woman, I couldn't quite tell), on the other end, in a thick "Indian or Pakistani" accent said he was with, I asked him three times what the name of their company was because I couldn't understand him. Said he was going to ask me only one question, which was,"Do you have a brokerage account or an online account?" I told that I refused to answer that question. Why do you want to know? He asked again & I told him the same thing, he then hung up.

My caller ID said the call was from Boca Raton, Florida, but I think it was from India or that part of the world because of the "noise" on the phone.

This caller has been on my caller ID five times in the last 10 day.  ID has the name USD and the number.  Never left a message.  I'm blocking it today.

This # has called me multiple times!  I am on the Do Not Call list. I tell them that and they continue to call, though now, they don't engage when I answer. I'm guessing their computer screen alerts them after the pick up, that the receiver has told them not to call anymore and has even threatened to sue?

How do you block a number. The do not call listings don't seem to work anymore because they break off instantly upon connection. I think you are exactly right Diana.

I have blocked the calls, told them not to call, mentioned do not call registry, etc. They still call, everyday, sometimes three or four times. It is beyond ridiculous.

Guy with a thick Filipino (easily identifiable with those rolled R's) accent says he wants to ask me one question and that he'll put my number on a Do Not Call list after he's done (as if I'm not already on a Federal DNC list which he's already ignored by calling me to begin with!!!).  He wants to know if I use a brokerage or if I trade stocks on my own.  I refused to answer, told him to [***] off and hung up on him.
