- Scam AlertEric Brady of Insights HD offering a variation of the much-criticized Hugh Downs infomercials (also called interstitials) -- brief (two- to five-minute) segments to be distributed to PBS stations. There is no guarantee that the informercials will air, or where or when.
The company appears to be linked to VMediaTV/Vision Media Television, tel. 561-338-7475, www.visionmediatelevision.com, which has been criticized for cold-calling organizations to sell Hugh Downs infomercials of dubious quality or benefit- Caller: Insights HD

- KNOW THE FACTSDo people really believe that PBS is a network? PBS is NOT a network or a station! They sell programming to independantly owned and operated television stations across the country. PBS charges hundreds of thousands of dollars for their programming. Public TV is actually made up 355 independently owned and operated television stations across the country that deliver family-safe TV. Each indidual station makes individual decisions for programs they air. American Artist currently has over 160 individual stations requesting interstitial programming. Its all about relationships.
- GregI received a phone call from Eric Brady to participate in the program hosted by Mr. Hugh Downs, I did my due diligence and found a lot of positive information on stories that they've produced. Anyone could deduct by watching the stories on the website, acknowledging the celebrities who have participated in their program and having Mr. Hugh Downs as the host that this company is doing something right. I also looked up their BBB Rating and it's an A-. Then I found this Blog! First I reviewed the Blog and realized two things: 1) its Apparent that they have an angry ex employee who seems to be instigating the Blog and 2) The people who found this Blog didn't do their due diligence before making an entry. After a number of conversations with actual participants who had successful experiences, I began to realize that not one of the entries made here on this Blog were written by anyone who had worked with this production company or had firsthand knowledge of their business dealings. I’m not convinced that the people making entries on this Blog have any idea of what they are talking about. It appears that 90% of the entries were made by people who just received a phone call, Googled the phone # and made a contribution to this Blog out of ignorance. Upon finding this Blog, I believe that as a Blogger(which I am) that there is a moral responsibility to make sure that I am writing about the truth. It's irresponsible to believe that it's OK to jump on the band wagon and bash this company. If my company were attacked in this way, I would make sure that any entry that creates any sort of tortious interference would be pursued to the fullest extent of the law. I am a businessman myself and I would be very disappointed if someone attacked my business in the way that this business is being attacked. How can someone deduct that this production firm is a dishonest organization if you didn't participate in their program???? Even for the Bloggers who actually spoke with the firm and decided not to participate because you found this Blog. Why would you make a comment? Why? Where did you get your first hand knowledge from? Did you get it from this Blog? At any rate, I plan on giving this production group a shot and mainly because I have yet to find valid information that would deem this organization as being noncredible. My story is that I was planning on creating a corporate documentary and discovered that through providing my story; I will get much more out of the situation. First of all, my 3-5 min segment will be distributed to Public TV that will run for one year that reaches 40-60 million households over the course of the year, I will have a 2 Minute segment that will air on CNBC, they are distributing my 6-8 minute segment to Google Video, YouTube and WebMD and they will be sending my story to up to 1 million viewers who are my exact target audience. I have the agreement and everything that they claim to do is outlined in their agreement.
I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt until someone gives me reason to respond otherwise. I'm sorry to say that the cowards on this Blog haven't done a very good job at convincing me that this project doesn't merit value. I am far too familiar with the cost of promotion to be swayed by the speculations of ignorant people.
Tortious interference, in the common law of tort, occurs when a person intentionally damages the plaintiff's contractual or other business relationships. This tort is broadly divided into two categories, one specific to contractual relationships (irrespective of whether they involve business), and the other specific to business relationships or activities (irrespective of whether they involve a contract).
Tortious interference with contract rights can occur where the tortfeasor convinces a party to breach the contract against the plaintiff, or where the tortfeasor disrupts the ability of one party to perform his obligations under the contract, thereby preventing the plaintiff from receiving the performance promised. The hardcore instance of this tort occurs when one party induces another party to breach a contract with a third party, in circumstances where the first party has no privilege to act as it does and acts with knowledge of the existence of the contract. Such conduct is termed tortious inducement of breach of contract.
Tortious interference with business relationships occurs where the tortfeasor acts to prevent the plaintiff from successfully establishing or maintaining business relationships. This tort may occur when a first party's conduct intentionally causes a second party not to enter into a business relationship with a third party that otherwise would probably have occurred. Such conduct is termed tortious interference with prospective business relations, expectations, or advantage or with prospective economic advantage.
To Eric and Insights: I have a very good name of a Lawyer who can help you stop these people from making entries to this Blog without being held accountable for their words and their interferrence with your business. I will email you the contact information. Best of Fortune and we are looking forward to producing a good story with your organization.
