I called back and there is a recording that prompts you to leave a message if you received a call from that number. Recording does not say what company I called.... sounds like a scam to me. Any legitimate business will inform callers where they are calling.

The number has been calling me everyday

Got a few calls yesterday - caller ID said Whittier, CA - more calls today. I don't answer and they leave no message.

This company must have access to new numbers installed through TWC, as mine was installed yesterday.  Yes, it is from Whittier, but no message was left.  Inside job, via TWC.

I called the number back and left a message not to call me again and to take me off the list. This is the second time they called after leaving the same message. Called the number again and left a message that I will sue them if they call again.

I answered a call from 562-364-7949.  I said "Hello......Hello......Hello."  and waited and nobody responded, so I hung up.  Whoever has the number must be an idiot.

this number has been call blasting me from my home phone to my cellphone.

I called it back too. the message recording said: "if you are calling regarding a voice message from this number please leave a message" what the heck? This number has been call blasting my home phone and my cellphone simultaneously. Every day almost every hour for the past two weeks!

This guy called twice each day for the past couple of days.  Must be a kid who just wants to play around.  I answered and said hello, and no response, so I just held on to the handset and the guy started to breathe into the phone.  After about 30 seconds, he hung up.  Just don't answer.

They called several times and when I called back it said to leave a message. I left a message threating them to stop calling and they still call.

Caller ID indicated it was from "Whittier, CA." They didn't leave a message

All of the above for me as well. I suggest not leaving a message when you call. If it is a prank, they will enjoy knowing you are engaging and will continue their annoyance. However, if it is a scam, sometimes your voice mail will be edited to the extent where only a word is use for example, "yes" meaning I accept a collect call; or "This is John Doe" meaning you gave them your personal info for hacking purposes. Although this only happens with semi-sophisticated hacking, I wouldn't be to quick to respond.

I don't think it has to do with Time Warner (TWC) since I am a Cox carrier and have the same problem. You can, however, go online and block this caller. For Cox, I simply log in to my Cox.net account, click on the number and block it from calling again.
