Thank goodness for this website... same as the above happened and I ignored the call but I'm adding my name to the DO NOT CALL list - THANKS FOR THE HEADS-UP!!

I didn't answer the call. They didn't leave a message.

Call came in at 7:34 p.m. this evening.  CPYC on the caller I.D.  Picked up the phone but no one was there.  Called back and the number was busy.  I called back immediately and this time the phone rang for about 3 minutes before it went into a "fast busy" cycle.

Get a couple of these calls a week. Each time right around 9PM. Very disruptive for people already asleep in my house. I went to their CPYC website and sent an email to the 2 email addresses there. Told them to stop calling me and put me on their DO NOT CALL list. We'll see if it does any good. lol!

keep getting calls and they do not speak, it's just a possible fax transmission, but I have no fax. They call all times of the day.

I, too, get calls from this place several times a week, at least. Generally in the late evening. Called ID says CPYC and there is never a message. Next time I will answer just to see what they have to say now that I read others comments about them, it will be interesting to "play" with them a little....LOL!
I am on the Nat'l Do No Call List, so why are they calling?? I may report them to NDCL just for the fun of it.

Continue to call, no messages left.  I'm on the do not call list and still receive phone calls.

received a call from 562-803-3059 on my cell phone last nite, didn't answer, they didn't leave message.   my phone number is registered with do not call registry.  if they are NPO, is there anyway to make them go away?

2 calls in 2 days...2pm and 6pm.  Didn't answer. Googled CPYC and 562 803 3059 and got this website...thanks for the ID on CPYC!! "Charity Navigator" rates a related charity badly...they spent $3 million to raise $1 million!!  They get zero stars.

Rings with the 562 # on ID yet when I answer "hello" there is no reply.  Then I wait on the line only to hear a beep and then a disconnect.  I call the # back ad get endless ringing.  I'm also on the DNCL and all I know is the political advertising can get through (like our govenor or campaignings), but I'm not sure about charities.

CPYC called my number... luckily it was my Google GrandCentral number so I put them on the spam list and I will never be bothered by them again. I hardly ever get telemarketing calls now. :) Check it out grandcentral.com

stop calling at my home

this people is calling me 4 to 5 times a week for the last 3 weeks. Every time my phone rings, they are invading my privacy. I WANT THIS TO STOP.

They don't leave any message and when I answer the phone nobody speaks and hang out. I want somebody to do something about it, to make this people to stop the abuse.

YES I HAVE PICKED THE PHONE UP AND THEY ARE REQUESTING A DONATION FOR SOMETHING CALLED POLICE YOUTH SOMETHING. I JUST HUNG UP ON THEM AS I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE WORKING

Just received a call while I was on the phone.  No message left.  Thought it was a Yacht Club my son belonged to, not.  I worked for the PD for 10 years, and 26 years for fire dept, 911.  These calls are always scams,  PD and FD's do not call on the phone for donations.  I'm also on the dnc list, just renewed it a couple of weeks ago.  I called the number back, no answer.

My caller ID only said "Downey" and 562-803-3059 so I picked up.  There was nobody on the other side, complete silence, so I just hung up.

Got a call, person did not leave a voice message, so Grandcentral to the rescue... they are now on the spam list.

Here is the truth on these calls.
IT IS A SCAM. THE POLICE CAN NOT
AND DO NOT DO CALLS LIKE THIS.
MY HUSBAND IS A POLICE MAN!
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. IT IS ILLEGAL.
