called my home phone this morning at 10:30AM. No message was left and I didn't answer the call. I googled the number since it wasn't reported on here yet, and found nothing helpful other than other sites that you have to pay to find out any information on the number. My caller ID read Lake Ariel PA 570-630-2485.

OK Brad, I listened to the WHOLE message after calling back and it is a Fund Raising telemarketing firm.  If you listen to the recording they will eventually tell you that a representative from the fund raising organization that called will return your call.  After the DNC list went into law a lot of the telemarketers turned fund raisers because these so-called charities are exempt from the DNC list.  Well, now you know.  Somebody calling to get some money from you for something.

Forgot to make a point.  No need to pay to find out who called.  Block your number by dialing *67 before calling.  Be careful, however, because some scammers connect you to international calls that you end up paying for.

Please stop calling!!!

My husband simply picks up the phone, hits the answer button, then immediately hangs up.  That way these nuisance callers will get a "connected" call as if they actually got thru to us.

If you call & press option 2 they will put your # on a do not call list.  I tried it & haven't received another call.

They represent themselves as collecting for the Pennsylvania State Police foundation.

Got a call from 570-630-2485 this morning (Thursday) at 8:15 am EDT.  Caller ID says "LOCAL CALL AREA".  I answered because I didn't want to phone to go on ringing at that hour and wake my wife.  Male caller asked for me by first name and said he was fundraising for some police-related charity (I didn't catch the name of the organization).

They say they represent PA. State Police Narcotics. It's a scam.

When I answered they said they were calling for the police fund raising and said the call was being recorded. I'm guessing by saying it's recorded makes it sound legit.  Told them if they are legit to mail me info for me to check out. Pretty sure I'll never get any mail from them 😆  Told them to take our number off their list.

Called 2:49pm; Caller ID: "5706302485".

I wasn't home; VM left:  dead air, then disconnected-- no message.

Whenever Caller ID shows numbers it's a bogus call; as previous posts confirm, this is another scammer.
