got a call from that number yesterday and today. both around 6:50pm didn't bother picking up either time.

Unwanted call; no message left.

Got a call around 2:40pm. No msg.

It's Higher Education Loan Provider and apparently, they have several call centers around the nation. So far today I've gotten a call from KY, NY and MO. All 3 times, I called back and asked to be removed from their calling list and I have no earthly idea how I even got on it. Also, every time you call in (say to see who your missed call was)their system takes it as incoming "interest call" and that is why the more times you call to check the number, the more calls you get. ANNOYING.

Called SIX TIMES in past two weeks. Asks on voicemail if this is my name or to say 'wrong number'. I don't pick up and delete every message. VERY annoying, mostly because this is my cell phone they're calling.

Caller asked for me specifically, but by first name only, but was not willing to leave a message. I do not give out this number, so it is a complete mystery how they got it.

Rec'd a call from this number. Caller ID says Childrens Cancer. Left no message.

just had a call that quit ringing just as I answered; not sure if it went to voice mail but had no message; returned call and got a recording ID'd as children's cancer recovery (which matched the caller ID) there was no option to speak to a person and the voice mail was full.

Answered and no one was there, called back and got a recording claiming to be a charity collecting for cancer....with phone spoofing..(look it up), you can make the caller ID number read anything you want.

Answered and was greeted by a lady saying she was from Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation. She sounded very friendly when she thought I was going to donate money to them, but when I asked to be removed from their calling list, she immediately hung up. I don't believe a reputable charity would do this. I looked up this so called charity, and found that most if not all of their donations go to fund administrative expenses, like telemarketing. They aren't in business to help children, they're in business to help themselves to the money they can fleece out of unknowing suckers.

I just received a call from this number at 8:30 at night.  She asked to speak to my husband (by his first name only) I said he isn't available and she said okay no message. . I asked who was calling and she hung up.  I don't think a reputable charity would behave this way

It's not the charity whose calling. Charities don't call you directly they hire telemarketers to do the job. Telemarketers who lie to you to get around the Do Not Call List. They say they are the Charity knowing full well that Charities are exempt from Do Not Call list.

Report them immediately they are not the Charity but a Telemarketer in violation of Do Not Call laws.

I just received a call from this number (12:45 p.m.).  A young-sounding female voice asked to speak to my husband (by his first name only)---is anyone noticing a pattern here compared to other posts on this site?---I replied, "This is his home phone number, may I give you his work phone?"  She immediately hung up without another word.  My caller ID only showed "MISSOURI CALL" and the phone number 573-342-4078.  Don't people have better things to do with their lives?   Thanks to all who posted here, as we can all see the pattern forming and be reassured it's just some scam.

I received a call last night at 8:40. My son answered and they asked for me (by my first name only) wanting money for a children's cancer foundation. I believe this is a scam and I plan to report it.

Received another call today ... asked for my husband (by name) ..  I told her she could call heaven and ask for him ..   I am tired of getting these calls and hope they got the message.  I am on the no call list but to no avail.

Call from this number today, she asked for me by first name only and when I said "this is Michelle" she hung up!  Only showed up as Missouri call with this number.

Scam "charity" uses high pressure and shaming to try to get you to donate.

Might as well hand money out to winos hanging out next to the liquor store.

Caller ID showed Childrens Canc.  No message left.

Called on 8/14/13, no message  left; didn't answer phone. "Missouri caller" on ID.

Well they somehow knew my first..but started talking about children with cancer
I hung up...
