I have with a stupid recording - they have called me from different numbers once I block one.  Always different areas.  The recording almost sounds legit, but, if you owe money they will send you a summons unless it is civil court and the will come from sheriff.  When you call the number back it says red vine processing group.  I tried to google and there is no company found.  I told them it was a scam and i have notified my local police department and to leave my the Bleep alone.

Threatening voicemails, but never say who they are. Called the two different numbers they left 307-227-0702 (Wyoming) and the "legal department" 860-400-0775 (Connecticut).   I never said a word; just called the numbers in which they started saying my name.  After, they hung up, they called right back with number 757-776-0125 (Virginia).  All three numbers were "Redvine Processing Group".

They have called me from 717-883-9083 and  979-730-3203, they stated i owe a payday loan and they are mediators to facilitate a agreement but can’t give me any information about the loan. I would have to go to court. I did give them my banking info. They keep saying they will send me the paperwork for the payment arrangement but i have yet to get it.

    Listen to message

No one can take away your Rights because you didn't call back. Your most important Right is the Right to request a written Proof of Debt before giving them anything.

A vague scare tactic message designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :
    • threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
    • Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
    • Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
    • Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
    • Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
    • Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.
