College scam telemarketer

Caller left no message, only hung up.

Called about 6:15 PM EST. I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. Rang about 20+ time.

Ruffalo Noel Levitz, a telemarketer for colleges and universities.  Supposedly calling from Iowa for a college in Pennsylvania in a town she couldn't even pronounce in her 'offshore' accent.

Did not answer the call because it was out of state area code and they did not leave a message. Caller ID showed the name as "Univ Admissions."  Adding the number to my call blocker to play it safe.

They called and asked whether I was interested in playing a sport and if I wanted more information regarding a college of Indiana I think.. I said yes because I wasn't sure if it was real or not.. But it confused me

They called and I answered, we both stayed quiet. Thinking this was some fake number to prank call me I cleared my throat/grunted as deep as I could and they immediately hung up. Oh well

The caller just asked if I was available so I responded no (because it was an unknown number from a different state), then I hung up. It obviously wasn't an important call because they haven't called back since.

Called me at work so I didn't answer, ID said it was from Hume, NY

This guy's just called asked if wanted to go the instate school in my state but I said no and then lied to hide seemed cheesy

The caller just said that I was accepted to this college, but I was confused because I never applied to a school in New York. I just asked if he would send my acceptance letter in the mail and he was just like "uhhh...yeah".

Never leaves a voicemail

Left no message. I do have a son who is a junior, but he has not applied to any colleges yet. Based on posts here, sounds like they will call you even if you don't have college age kids.

I answered, they hung up. It showed up on caller ID as college admissions. I answered because we have a kid in college and another who has been receiving mailings. Whatever happened to the DO NOT CALL LIST!

Hung up with no reply.

Got a call from this number and 2 others that also come up with University admissions--3197302568 & 3254008657----continue to get hangup when I pick up.  DON'T TRUST CALLER ID OF UNIVERSITY ADMISSION.

Saw this number on my caller ID. I do have a child in high school, but has not applied to any colleges yet. Be aware and don't give out any information. If you can block them, do!
