Starts off with offering you a reduced payback, then asks whats left on your credit cards to make a payment, then tells you how much money he makes collecting past due debts, then offers you a job working for him after you pay him on your past due account. Totally sounds like a con man, be careful to get releases from the oringinal debt. holder and try to pay original service provider directly... NOT HIM.

attempted to collect on a very small nearly 3 yr old debt to a local vendor that had been disputed in writing. Made personal threats in order to give credit card number.  When told that I would not divuldge credit card number to an unknown person, he said that if I was paying my phone bill then I could pay him. Exceptionally verbally abusive.  Suggest that you block all calls from him if you can and deal with original creditor only.  Bad News!

Very nasty individual!!!!! Wouldn't even tell who he is trying to collect for, asked me who I owed money to. Said "I'm the rich dude, your the poor dude, who do you owe money too!!!" Definitely a con-man and can't possibly be a legitimate collector. Beware if he calls your phone. Either don't answer the phone or tell him you are on to him.

There is no legitamacy to his phonecall. This is a total Scam and just pick up and say dont ever call me again Scumbag.....case closed

Holy cow is this man scary.  Called me about a debt that was already being taken care of with the original company.  Threatened me and threatened my husband.  Demanded my credit card number and or a check number.  NO FREAKING way! I told him I wasn't doing anything with him until I spoke with the company again.  He than proceeded to yell at me that he was going to come to my house.  Searched the number and found all of these responses.  Honestly he scared the hell out of me.  Especially since I was home with all of my children and he said he was on the road outside of my house.  He called back and forth between me and my husband on his cell at work.  Even if he was a legitimate person I do not need to be treated like that.

Calls received on 8/23/11 and 8/30/11 were sent to a special extension we had to set up for unknown/telemarketers/solicitor calls who are dead give-aways when they can't say our company name or the name of our owners.
The message is the same .... "THIS IS JOE FOLEY.  CALL ME AT 585-509-1711".

This number is on my DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK NUMBER SHEET.  Thanks for the messages on this site to beware!

ive also been scamed by this joe foley! he came into my work saying he can collect on bad debt so we payed himn and he ripped me off and collected on our dilenquent accounts! does he also go by joesph stafford?

this joe foley is a real piece of work  he currently has a judgement filed against him for $441,545.00 by M&T bank.  he has a long history of judgements and state and federal tax liens.

Got a call from Joe Foley...very nasty man! First he demanded a credit card number then a bank account number when I refused he asked me if I could go borrow the money this minute to give to him. I refused that too and he threatened to put a lien on my house and take my property. He then wanted my birthday and my social security number to which I asked him what his name was and he said his last name so fast I couldn't understand him 3 times. So I said oh, did you call earlier from 585-509-1711 and he said yea. Then he got pissed when I said I googled his number and people were saying he was nothing but a scumbag. And he said well yea people like you who don't pay their bills would say that. Then told me if I didn't pay up right now I would hear from his lawyer so I told him if I heard from him or any other person from his company he would be hearing from my lawyer. He hung up on me after that!
