First number of two times I've received this kind of text. Both separate texts referred to my number as "Nicholas", so I know they come from the same source. Very annoying. Pretends to be an 'oops' text as if it were sent to the wrong number.

Because of the unethical nature of these texts, I highly advice all to NOT visit these websites.. They could be created for the purposes of hacking on to your computer... Do NOT risk it.

First text came from (587)644-3596 in May 2013.
First message: "Check out the insane hookup website I mentioned to u at hockey Nicholas, HookupAB.C OM - I got so much play last week, much easier than bars for getting laid ;)"

Second text came from (587)982-6738 in December 2013.
Second message: "Here's the sexy adult dating web-page I told u about at school Nicholas, FREEHOOKUPCANADA.C OM, much less difficult than clubs :) Still want a lift today?"

Have no idea where this came from, but got a text telling me about a casual single web page I was told about at dinner.... :s The site is FREEHOOKUPCANADA.COM

I got a text from (587) 644 3596 said " Here is the sexy hook-up web site i mentioned to u in class Bert, FREEHOOKUPCANADA.COM, so much simpler than night clubs:) Still want to lift tomorrow?" My mum got a similar one as well! Definitely spam, I wouldn't risk even looking at the website.

I got this message right now from 587-644-3596

" Here is the easy casual hookup web-site I told you about at work Billy. FREEHOOKUPCANADA. COM, so much simpler than bars ;P Still want a ride today?"

I tried to look up the number & it says no listings found.. but 587 is Northern Alberta area code.
How would they get my phone number though!

Just received the same message today to my work cell but with the name Jeffery and the website canadahookupsnow.com....I told them I wasn't Jeffery.

The domain was registered about a week ago - how convenient.

Didn't check the hosting company, which could be the same or these clowns could be running it from a basement, but I asked the registrar to slap them on the wrist. Feel free to do the same - let's shut 'em down!

Do a WhoIs lookup and report it to the registrar of the domain in the text. I got one suspended, and have sent Network solutions an email to try to get CanadaHookupsNow and FREEHOOKUPCANADA.COM suspended too.

I got a timely response back from the registrar of meetupincanada.com (Internet.bs Corp.).

Great to see a registrar take quick action.

How many other ones they have to spam us with is another story. We can win the fight though - do WhoIs searches to find the registrar company and email them with links to these 800notes, whocallsme and other threads. The pricks will give up if they can't keep a domain longer than a week!
