Anyone know who this is ?

I just got this too.  I'm guessing it's a political party, I didn't answer it.  All I've been getting are ridiculous calls from these political groups, I'm tired of hearing from them.

I just got a cal from this number too.  It comes back as a business landline.  The service provider is Fibernetics.  Apparently they give free phones to businesses as an internet provider.  Unfortunately it doesn't say who the owner of the number is.  According to the reverse number search I did the unknown business is downtown in East Village.  

That's all I could find out so far.

8:59 p.m. I received a phonecall from this number. I didn't answer and whomever it was did not leave a message. As a previous poster suggested -- me thinks this is someone related to a political party. I've been getting calls this week from strange numbers. I'll be glad when the election is OVER.

Got a call at about 8:45pm. Had just nicely got my kids to bed when phone rang. I run to shut it up, but was too late. Baby girl woke up and my evening was shot!
Who is responsible for this and how can I get my number off the list? Or onto a DO NOT CALL list.

I also received a call and hangup from this number on Friday evening, after receiving several other repeat calls and hangups all week. Very irritating to say the least. My number is unlisted to prevent this kind of thing but doesn't seem to help.

Just rec'd call.  I let it go to answering machine.  No message left.

Given the Alberta provincial election, I expect it's probably yet another political robocall.

Just got the call from this number too. Answered it but nobody at other end!! I HATE THIS CRAP!! I'm hoping it's election related as altho' annoying, it's harmless.. Just hope that it isn't yet another weirdo with nothing better to do but harass citizens. Have been awoken with  these kind of "no-response" calls... can't they be caught and punished?!

I answered. It said EGR (or something like that) national survey. What a bunch of crap! I've been on the Do Not Call List for years. Not really effective. Here is a fact: The national Do Not Call List was a great idea by a private investor. He was up for less then a day before CRTC shut him down. Wonder why? There is huge $ to be made with this just like alcohol, tobacco and gambling. Government must grasp this. But then DO IT RIGHT AND FINE THE OFFENDERS ENOUGH TO DETER ANYBODY AND DO NOT SELL OUR NUMBERS!!!

They are now using 587-887-1875 too ! I guess they figure people are on to this one !

I get hang up calls daily from 587 887 numbers. If I find out who is behind these annoying calls I will kill them.

I called the number back. It is the Alberta PC party. Funny way to get votes, interrupt a person's evening and leave them listening to dead air. If they are that incompetent at looking for votes, I don't want to find out how incompetent they are in government.

I just received a similar call from 1-587-887-1875.  Answering machine picked up; no message left.

This time the display showed:

called it back this morning... It's the Alberta PC Party. They do have the option of leaving a message to add yourself to the 'do not call' list, IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH. I called at 0600 this morning and was successful.

I got a call pretty late in the evening from these scum bags.  It is the PC party after all.  They have no ethics, so why whould they care if rthey wake kids up?

no one was on the line when I answered.  strange way to use robo caller...  call a number and if some one answers don't say anything or play an annoying message.

I am pissed I keep getting called from this number.  I am not going to vote, since I feel harassed.

Have had three aborted calls in the last two days.

We had received a call from: 587-887-1871.  They didn't say anything, I figure it was another political campaign.  God I wish this politcal campaigning would stop.  The don't realize, the more calls I receive- they are losing my vote each time!!
