Scam: Caller left a message that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.  I called back and was asked to give a case number, which I obviously didn't have, then started to ask me for my name and other information. I hung up!

Called me claiming IRS had lawsuit against me. The man asked if I was me. I told them no and gave them a fake name and address. Apparently, the fictional name I gave also had a lawsuit against them. The man used profanities when I asked how they plan on arresting someone who doesn't exist.

A recording claimed they were the IRS and that they had a lawsuit against me and I should call this number as soon as possible.  Can no one stop this number and press charges since there are many who have reported the same number?

SCAM!!! It was a recording that said new message to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please visit your local IRS office or call immediately on our department number 601-509-2566. I repeat it's 601-509-2566. Thank you.

This number called same claims being IRS but I know the IRS would send a letter this call said it was from mississippi   Please don't give out any personal info!

They called me today and I call it back and got a mess from a google mess . I called the irs after that .

I called them back and the guy starts out with 'yes, you have have a warrant..' I interrupted and said I do not and if I did I've worked at the same place and lived at the same place for over 10 years. Had someone been interested in finding me and arresting me they would. I asked to be taken off their call list and he asked why. Um... ?? Duh.

Not sure what list they got my ne from but wouldn't give me a business name after three times of asking them. Told me I had a warrant out. I dont. When I asked to be taken off their call list he acted like he didn't k ow what that was and insisted I had a warrant. That's not how that works.

Computer voice saying, "This is Officer Ryan Smith from the IRS, you are being investigated for illegal activity, call 6015092566."  Then the message repeats.  Never said my actual name, etc.  Do NOT take this seriously, scammers!!!  As other have said, IRS will NOT call a person, communication is written and mailed.

Got the Officer Smith scam call today, April 4th.

I received the same call today 4.6.2018.  Didn't answer, but heard message.

Received it earlier today and it went to voicemail with being cutoff at the end.  Recorded message, and no human speaker.
