Social security administration SCAM!!

Said from social security. I gave them my bank info. Now at bank closing my accounts

Said they're from social security and would not specify what it was about.

They said social security would call me to fill out an application for extra benefits then someone called and the phone number they were calling from said SSA government so I gave them all my information.

Please don't fall for this it's a scam.they wait to call you after social security office are closed so you won't be able to verify phone number..

If they call after hours, there's no need to verify the phone number since the Social Security Administration wouldn't be calling after hours. And they don't initiate contact by phone anyway. They use US mail.

But if ssa calls you usually there's a notice prior to the phone call or appointment and ssa has no problem telling you their full name this person keep evading that question until she said Erica who's sounds suspicious to me..

I just got a call from this number. The caller ID says: "Us Govt Ssa" Come on! How stupid do these robots think I am? lol The spelling is sus as hell. I of course did not answer. The correct caller ID info when they call is usually something like: Social Security Administration or some such. And it's always from a 1-800 type number. It's never a local Area code and I actually live in Phoenix Arizona.
