Same here. Caller ID just shows phone number, and no message.

This is strange: the message that I replied to has disappeared. I'm still getting calls from this number with no message and no caller shown (except for a repeat of the phone number).

Same here. May be auto dial and by the time we answer, they've picked up the first person who answered.. We get a lot of this. That's why I preferred unlisted. Not as easy for them to get numbers, tho not impossible.  Such a nuisance. I sometimes call back. Often there's a recorded "leave your number if you want to be taken off their list"  they may already have your number via CID. I've seen it recommended that we not leave numbers. My children call fro someone else's phone at times and know we probably won't answer. Nuisance.

I really dislike having these random companies calling my home.  Then, when you try to return the call they dont pick up, SO, I tried on my mobile and guess what, a female answered the call.  I asked her to kindly remove me from their list immediately or I would report their number to the BBB.

I got a call from this number. The gentleman left a short message: "Are you there?" Then hung up immediately

Immediate hang up when I answered.

I just got a call from this number....it was the "Fraternal Order of the Police"......I just said I was not interested and hung up.  I'm sure they wanted a donation.

Jp from Tucson I even blocked this # and added to my list on my phone system of telephone numbers I don't want to accept calls from. When I went to add this # my telephone system stated it was already on my list of unwanted calls, yet it still got thru.

These are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone.  All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.

All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew.  After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.

The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated.  If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?

Yes, this is the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police who we have donated to before. It's too bad the caller ID feature doesn't show it's from AZFOP. I mentioned it to their representative.
