- Andy H replies to out-of-debt| 1 replyThat's not even relevant. This company is not dealing with real debts, they are just on a fishing expedition attempting to get money from anyone and everyone.

- MystiThey called my employer cell number but left an empty voice message. I called the number back to ask who they were and what they wanted. The guy said it was CCS - Credit Collection Services - looking for someone I had never heard of. I told him this is a business number, and then he asked for a better number to contact this person at. Like I know! I told him to stop calling.

- KimI have been receiving calls from 603-570-4415 for a while now. When I answer the phone there is silence and then...hang up. Then phone that I'm receiving them on is an inner line in my office. Today, I called it back and someone actually answered! They verified the number said who they were trying to contact. I told them not even close and to take the number off of their call list. She assured me she would...I'm not holding my breath.
- Caller: Did not get the name she talked to fast
- idontthinksoreceived a call from this CCS service they don't leave messages so I will not answer that means you're not important so why should I answer definitely a scam

- Tenos replies to LBI can, and will. (Look for my link on this page Monday. I'll have a video callback in order for everyone to see whether or not they're a fraud. And I'll verify it with the FTC and the BBB)...
- Aware consumer replies to Aware consumerPartially correct. According to the FDCPA:
Question: When Can Debt Collectors Call?
Answer:
Debt collectors seem to call at the most inconvenient times, don't they? Actually, anytime
someone calls asking for money is an inconvenience. There's nothing pleasant about
being pressed to pay a bill, especially when you can't afford it or you're just not ready to pay.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) sets guidelines for when debt collectors can call:
They can call between 8am and 9pm, your local time <--- not 9am as you state
They can call you at work if they do not know your employer disapproves
They can call you once more after receiving a cease and desist letter from you
What about weekends and holidays? Fortunately, many businesses, including collection agencies, are closed on weekends and holidays. Although the FDCPA doesn't specifically state which days of the week collectors can and cannot call, it does state that collectors cannot communicate with you during times "which should be known to be inconvenient."
If a collector calls at a bad time, simply say, "This is not a convenient time" and let them know specifically what time is convenient.
The FDCPA doesn't specify how often a debt collector can call, e.g. weekly or daily. It does, however, prohibit collectors from "causing the phone to ring repeatedly or continuously to annoy" you. So, debt collectors shouldn't be calling you back to back, especially immediately after you've spoken to them and ended the call or after you've asked not to be called.
If you believe a debt collector is violating the law by calling you outside the allowed times, especially after you've sent a cease and desist letter asking them to stop calling, you can report them to the FTC and your state Attorney General. - Natasha replies to RosannaI haven't answered any calls from this # but the last time I got a call from a scammer saying they were going to come arrest me at work, I told them I had already spoken with someone at my local PD and that I had filed a complaint with them, with the FTC and the branch of the FBI that deals with phone scams. They hung up real quick and I never heard from them again.

- Ang G.| 1 replyGot a call today (AT MY WORK!) from the same exact name and number. The asked for me by my first name, I said she's not currently in the office right now can I take a message, she said it was regarding a personal matter, I asked what was CCS the reply was, this is a personal matter. RIGHT! I immediately Googled it. I knew it was shady! How can we report them?

- Jo in California replies to Andy HThat is correct. This is some sort of scam. I have an incredibly high credit rating and have never paid a bill late in my entire life, yet this jerk company calls several times a day, leaving no message and no one is there when I do answer. Maybe they just get paid for the number of calls they make.
Interestingly, I did receive three calls in a row from someone asking for me - but they did not have the name anywhere near correct - and told me that I owed Kohls over $1000. Two problems: I never shop at Kohls and I don't owe anyone anything.
This CCS should be stopped. - Jo in California replies to Mark BerryThis is the same message I got - twice. The first was a woman with a slight foreign accent, telling me I owed Kohls $1000+. I told her I owed Kohls nothing and that if she ever called again I would notify the authorities. Got another call the very next day, from a different woman, with a slightly different story. I was far more forceful this time. Since then, no one has actually been on the other end if I answer, and no one leaves a message. Scam.
- Jo in California replies to kathyNo, it is not.

- JohnJust got a new phone and new number a couple days ago and I haven't yet updated any of my accounts with my new number. Now this CCS Companies calls from a 617 area code. If it is a legit debt collector, which I have no unpaid bills for them to collect, I have no idea how they got this number...but yeah no message or anything so it obviously not important.
