They called me 5 times already. Did not answer, they left no message. RCMP should be after this number.

unfortunately calling the rcmp probably can't do anything because it's most likely a spoofed number.

I mistakenly answered. It was a woman with a heavy East Indian accent who asked for me by name. When I asked who was calling a couple of times, she said something unintelligible. I hung up. Probably that bunch of idiots at CBV Collections in Vancouver that try to collect bogus old Phone bills and rely on constant harassment from an unending list of numbers to get people to give them money just to make it stop. Of course if you do, that will just encourage them to continue. It really is just a form of extortion that should be (and probably is) illegal and should be prosecuted except they probably make "contributions" to the right politicians' "campaign funds" ...

Spoke to 2 people, 1 said he was calling on behalf of the other. Asked me to verify my birth date. Which I replied if you are calling me shouldn't you already know my info. I asked who he worked for, he said CBV, I then asked who he was working on behalf of, he said Rogers. Rewind 2 days ago, it was Telus. I have neither accounts, nor have I. Sometimes they call from a blocked number, sometimes it's Scarborough, but It's always people with a thick Indian accent. I have now screamed at them and told them I know they are a scam. Probably won't do anything.

Called me  about 9 am this morning.  I never answer these calls. I was getting calls from 604-296-3232 (also Vancouver) which I just blocked the other day (800notes posts say it is CBV, same debt collector company as noted in one of the above posts). So if you are getting calls form either number, I suggest blocking both numbers.  It will save you some frustration before they come up with a third number to bother you with.

They called again today.  When i answer i am put on hold and eventually, the line goes dead.

Tried blocking them.  They use phone numbers in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax.  I have also gotten calls from Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, and Florida.  If you look up CBV collections, notes on then will show almost three full pages of phone numbers that they use.  My Bell "Call Blocking" service allows for only 12 numbers.  This company is US based and they pull the same tactics here in Canada and unfortunately no one ever holds their feet to the fire, and they continue to get away with their American-style tactics.  Here in Ontario they are legally required to write you first then seven days later they may start making calls: they can make only 3 calls per week.  In Ontario, they have 2 years to collect the debt, but if you talk to them (my mistake) the clock is reset from that date.  DO NOT ANSWER THEM, DONOT ADMIT TO OWING ANYONE ANYTHING.  JUST DISCONNECT THE CALL.  I get as many as 4-5 calls per day. Some as late as 2 AM.  They don't care because they know they will get away with it.  I went to the Toronto police and they said it was a civil matter.  Consumers and Corporate Affairs Ontario said it was a police matter because it had become criminal harassment.   BE PREPARED TO HELP YOUR SELF.  Just for fun sometimes I blow a boy scout whistle in their ear.  That solicits nasty, foul, responses.  I get great chuckles.  Don't get upset because that is what they want and that is when you make mistakes and promise things you shouldn't.  Have a good day.
