I'm pleased to report that this is a legitimate business call. I had some car repairs done at DESTINATION TOYOTA BURNABY. The call was a survey to ask about the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction that I had with the service and with the way that I was treated.

Because the name of the caller said UNKNOWN on my call display, I did not answer the first time. There was no message. To verify, I called the number, but first dialled *67 to hide my number, and verified who had made the call. The next time that they called, I answered the phone.

I had a call saying it was Hyundai Canada so just an annoying telemarketer.

If this is a legitimate business, then it should display the business name, or leave a message stating who is calling and /or that that they are sorry that they could not reach you.  Hang up calls with no ID or message, leads one to believe they are not  legit.  Hence they are now blocked!

Claimed to be Volvo service. They wanted to schedule maintenance. I had gotten something in the mail from Volvo recently regarding a service reminder so I thought it was legit. Said I’d get back to them. Then wanted to confirm some info before I did like the km on my car and my contact info - -street address and email. Stupidly, I confirmed. Though, they already had it. Then after I decided to check the phone number. Distributel - a telecommunications number. Not sure what that was all about. What kind of scam is this!? And why did they have my info if it wasn’t actually Volvo?

Make that times 2. They claimed to be a different vehicle brand’s service department. Called the police non emergency line and was told to call the credit bureau in case they use this information to open accounts. Unfortunately nothing else can be done.

Not legit,Iindian call centre wanting "the owner" of the company.  Not getting past me.  Hang up.
