I was charged four dollars because my wife called this number back

My friend has this number as an outgoing call  on her cell phone and was charged for a short long distance call. She didn't make the call. Her provider is Fido. Weird or what?

Weird or what that you are posting for this "friend"?  Maybe your "friend" should call her phone carrier instead of having you come here to post.  This "friend" does exist doesn't it?  I guess as long as it isn't a 6' white rabbit it should be OK.

We get that number now and then and they are so dumb the call display says BC Directory assistance but the phone never rings.   The number and name just comes up on call display

Isn't that the number they use on tv shows?
Any no message left..probably scam.

I don't know about Canada but if you dialed that number in the US you would get directory assistance for the area code 604.

SCAM Alert!! DO NOT call back from your cell phone, you will charged. This number called twice within a few minutes. No voice mail left. I called back to check who called me. On my cell phone, I was charged twice $4.25 DIR ASS. My cell phone provider, Fido (Rogers), credited me right away cause it looked suspicious.

ARNAQUE ! NE RAPPELEZ pas ce numéro. J'ai eu 2 appels en l'espace de quelques minutes. Aucun message vocal. J'ai rappelé pour savoir qui me téléphonait. Sur ma facture de cellulaire, j'ai été facturée 2 fois 4,25 $ pour DIR assistance. Mon fournisseur, Fido (Rogers), m'a crédité ces frais sur-le-champ car cela semblait suspect.
