They are some sort of finance company and call if you have a vehicle listed in the Buy/Sell or Kijijii.  Got three calls from them.  Soliciting$$$/

We also got a cal from that number. She said her name was Nikki and asked if we still had the car for sale in the message, and didn't indicate that she was actually soliciting not interested in buying the car. But we live in the Cariboo and the it's a Lower Mainland number, so I googled it and found this. Pretty tacky.

i recieved a call from this number at 12:45pm i figured it was some company wanting somthing so i didnt answer an let the machine get it...she didnt state her name but was interested in the vehicle i have posted for sale on kijiji...its my boyfriends truck so i told him when he called from work an he called the number back not knowing anything an its a machine some girl named nikki...so i look the number up on the internet an this is what i find...quinsidence i think not....so needless to say we wont be callin her back an if she calls again i know now its bullsh*t...thankx to the previous posters :)

got a call from this number today, asking about my truck for sale on craigslist, the girl was obviously reading from a list of questions, when i asked her if she was calling to "help" me sell my truck she said, "no" then asked one more question and said, that will be all...

i was so pissed off about her wasting my time i called back and got the answering machine, something empire...i couldn't exactly hear it

I have gotten two messages from "Nikki".  It is so obvious whoever she is, she is not interested in purchasing the vehicle I have for sale on Kijiji.  It is also very obvious to me that "Richard" (I got more than I wanted for my corvette...) is affiliated with the company "Nikki" is trying to telemarket for.  All I can say is deal with people in person and only accept cash or certified draft or cheque from a recognized financial institution. Do not accept cheques and send your vehicle and the balance to the scammers.

Thanks to the above.  My stepmom got a call from 'Sarah' at this number who was a dealer and thought my truck for sale on kijiji was a good buy. I won't be calling her back.

what a bunch of scum bags! NO one from BC area code 604 would call about a truck for sale in Calgary! First warning sign.

So if these morons really exist, how come you NEVER see them advertising? I will call and ask them if they have any cars for sale that I can buy! I'll bet they don't!

Here's what you do: Phone them back repeatedly and tell them stuff you make up and FILL THEIR VOICEMAIL BOX up. Be sure to use *67 to hide your phone number or use a payphone or Internet phone service that cannot be traced.

Got a voicemail from a young sounding girl from this B.C. number... I'm from Ontario. I didn't even call back, but once I got home, I googled the number in question and I found this great resource.

I get scam calls and emails all the time through my small business and I even got ripped off once (for small amount) and something I've always wanted to do is SCAM THE SCAMMERS RIGHT BACK- not for the money, but to give them a taste of there own or put them out of commission so no other good honest ppl lose.

Any ideas before I get called again?

Just got a call from "Ed" at this number, saying he is interested in my SUV on Kijiji. I am in Alberta, he is in BC. I was immediately suspicious and didn't answer, he left a voicemail in which I can hear him dialing another number in the background while talking to my voicemail. Then I found this site... guess I was right to be suspicious!

You can add 604--628-4862 as "Ed" called me with this same scam from Empire Auto.

Received call for my SUV listed in calgary from the same number..... Didnt reply to call and googled the number and endup with this board.

Yep im in ontario and got a call with no name from the same number asking if my truck was still for sale. sounded very rehersed and the number is based in BS

Same for me, called me in Ontario from this BC # asking about my car for sale on Kijiji.

yep I got a call & I called her back (Victoria) and she wants $41 a week to sell my Mustang.  Guranteed to give me my price.  Sure after I've paid enough into it.  LOL  Said I wasn't interested.  Car Acquire wants $500 and will give back the price of my car plus the $500.  Yeah Right!!!  Be very careful. I may be 70 but I am not dumb.
