I work in survey research. You only need to say "no thanks" to the minimum wage person calling for a legitimate reason and you're done. If you don't want to be called back, imagine this, you only need to say "dont call me back". You dont need to "block" the number- what are you afraid of for god's sake!? But if it makes you feel more comfortable in your bomb shelter, go right ahead <3

Because that's not what actually happens when you do tell them to add your number to their do not call list!

OK I work at a social research firm. Your sacred 'do not call list' DOES NOT APPLY TO SURVEYS OR RESEARCH. The government of Canada acknowledged that research helps improve our society. Telemarketing is completely different- then you CAN block it.
Yes, they both use phones (sigh..)  - its the difference of a surgeon using a knife and a crazed maniac using a knife. You wouldn't take knives from everyone because a few were stupid would you?

You're an idiot. You are probably the one who calls from this number. I have told many different surveys to "not call me back" and guess what? They called me back, even my bank did this to me. So that's why we block numbers

they called and said they were doing a research to better our country. i found it rather strange and said I don't
have the time.she said all I need is your postal code and how many people over 35 live in our house. And she needed to know my age.

I just blocked the number. I've previously listed them as Spam but my previous phone couldn't autoblock numbers. Now it does. Mustel Research.

Blocking the number is easier.

Keep calling my cell never leave a msg, finally I answered before I finished saying hello they started in the script instantly, said no thank you not interested and how is that survey to help them you are calling a different province. Rude response asked politely not to call again and I hung up. Surprise they called back 5 minutes later blocking their caller id and number. Fed up now I blocked them!

Thanks to all the previous posters so that I have a heads up!! So annoying.

2 tips for mustel research if you want to be a legit research company:
1. hire someone who can speak proper English (I am not being mean here)
2. hire someone who knows how to say "thank you"
otherwise you'll likely get biased data

Called my cell today.  Told them I was at work, and hung up   I then blocked the number
