some financial company trolling for info to scam your credit cards.
Said he was from florida.

The caller said the he was calling on behave of visa and that I was going to get a better interse rate on my cards. When I said I didn't have my statement handy, he said that ok he just need to know what my balnce was on mastercard. When I asked him if he was from Visa or Mastercard. he ask me what one I haved? It is a scam you get you information. If it was visa thay know your balnce.

They called us today saying they could lower our credit card rates. "You have paid all your bills on time for the last 6 months, right?" Telling us that we have, but asking at the same time.

Just got a call from them. Pretty sure it's a scam to steal your credit card info.

They called me today at my home phone asking for me, my wife said i wasnt home. They hung up without saying bye or anything. I called the number back from my cell. They answered as a financial company. I told them u called me at my home number. They said my number was dialed by mistake. -- Then how did they know my name? The phone is not under my name.

Lady with East Indian accent called my home and asked my husband for me by name.  He said I was at work.  She asked when I'd be home.  He told her after 5:00.  He called to give me the message and when I didn't recognize the number, I checked reverse look up and see several reports of scamming and/or telemarketing.

I just recieved a call from the 1-604-756-1399 number, stating they were from a credit card company, or something of that sort, and that i had some money coming to me, and asked how i wanted the money delivered, i simply said i wasn't interested, they had to argue or ask why of course, i out of anger, simply bid them farewell, and hung up.

as a final note, I'm sorry but Visa & Mastercard employee's don't go around asking for personal information, it could mean their job if they do.

Re 604-756-1399 I just got a call from this guy said it was MBG or some outfit.. would lower our rates. Told him not interested and never bought anything over phone. He actually was polite though persistent

Same, had accented individual hound me for several days, unfortunately they managed to convince my husband they were from the card company and got our card number. I am convinced it is a scam and have given the card company the heads up. I am going to the RCMP with the details, see if they are at all concerned..

East indian men offering me free Cancun hotel and all inclusive meals because i had clean payment history with M/C.  All i had to do was pay airfare and any country entrance fees, etc.  I had a bad feeling about it so I called M/C afterwards and they cancelled my card.

Offering 1 week in Cancun and 1 week in Florida for taxes only £398 plus free Disneyworld .Very pushy re card details said it was a draw for their 25th Anniversary. I hung up . He needed confirmation of details on an email from Royaly travel. This is agressive phishing. I stoped my Barclaycard as felt he had some details. He rang back 3 times

got a call said I won a trip  to Cancun and Florida for four all inclusive, also called from 9055958640, gave 18773529172 and emoplyee number to verify person.
Totla scam called phone busters, you should do the same.

Same for me told me his name was Joe 905-595-8640 ext 264 and the he wanted my credit card and I hanged up

Call today from 604-756-1399 saying that they were consumer credit advocates and they could help with my credit cards. I told them the only people that i deal with regarding my cards were the people at my bank in person.

They called us twice today and both times they didn't understand that we we not interested first call I told them to take our number off their list next call they asked for my husband told them we were not interested and they still couldn't understand. 604-756-1399 call twice in 2 hours

This number called while I was at my parents house and a guy with an East Indian accent assumed I was my mother and started telling me he just got my profile on his desk and that he could lower the interest rates on my credit cards, and I asked him if he knew who he was talking to, said he was looking for my parents and I said I was their daughter.  Then he started trying to ask ME if I had any credit cards, even though he called for my parents.  I asked who he was working for he said he was from the CCA, the Canadian Credit Association, I googled it and there is no such company. He was very polite but very persistent, he wouldn't take no for an answer.  I finally told him that I have said no three times and if you knew anything about telephone marketing, you would know that when a customer says no three times they mean it!!  This is definitely a scam!!!

I got a call from 604 756 1399 today, heavy accented East Indian said he was phoning from a Financial Institution and was looking at my VISA records. I demanded to know how he would have got my VISA records, he hung up.
I did a reverse lookup on the number and it came up as a Bell West number out of Abbotsford BC, I called back and another EI male answered from what was obviously a call centre, I demanded to know what the company was called, he told me Consumer Credit Advocates Ltd., when I told him that someone there said that they had my VISA records, he said that was incorrect and the person that had called me had made a mistake.
I asked him where he was located and he told me Manitoba, I asked why the number came up as out of Abbotsford, he said they used a routing system. I asked for his name and the address in Manitoba, he gave me 746 Lake Jowell Rd., and said that his name was Mark Walker. I laughed and said that my name was Rajvinder Baines and I was calling from Bombay. I gave him a bit of an earful, told him I worked for the RCMP and they were coming to get him, he babbled something and I hung up.

Guy with heavy East Indian accent. Says he was calling from "Canadian Credit Association" & could lower the interest rate on my cards. I was curious to know how he knew I had TD & CIBC cards. He said: "You have paid all your bills on time for the last 6 months, right?" The question made me realise he was phishing. Confirmed when I had to refuse over & over until I simply hung up. Got 3 call backs, which I did not respond to.

A gentleman who said he was Eric Cooper from Consumer Credit Advocates in Dallas.  To be brief, he was short on giving any details but persistent in seeking information.  He wanted me to tell him my credit card number.  He gave me a number to call:  1-877-510-5849, though I did not call.  I got 3 call backs, but did not answer.

He called me and said he wanted to lower interest rates on my credit cards i kept saying i didnt want to give info over the phone but he just wouldn't listen until i told him i googled his number and it came up as a credit card scam i told him i will call the rcmp and he hung up didnt get a call again from him
