We were just phoned from this number. We are living in Netherlands. When picking up, there was a silence. After a short while (few seconds), there was a computerized female voice saying : Goodbye and the connection was stopped automatically.

I got this call as well in California, US. It is merely a bulk call screening and when you get the computerized female voice saying, "Goodbye" that means that you didn't answer quick enough to get one of their sales agents or telemarketers for that particular calling session. So then they just put your number back in the stack and call you again later.

It is amazing how these people get your phone numbers. I have so many people calling me for student loans, scam jobs, and everything else under the sun. All this comes from my efforts to find a job and leaving my contact information with these bogus employment agencies or work ads in something like Craig's List, Career Builder, Snag-a-job, Monster, or anything else like that! They always tell you, "You're information will not be given out to anyone!" But I think many of the jobs listed today are bogus and are merely designed to get your information and then they sell it to things like student loan scams, telemarketers, and every other place doing call screening and bulk calling.

It is amazing how we are destroying the fabric of our economy & society by turning the crimes of yesterday (e.g. exploitation, manipulation, and oppression) into our business practice principles of tomorrow (e.g. telemarketing & venture capital systems). Soon we will be offering college programs with classes like: Business 101 - Strategic Telemarketing (which teaches these fraudulent techniques to our students and future businessmen of tomorrow). This is the problem with our society. We are so egoistically distracted with our need to make a living that we are being manipulated to the point that it is destroying the fabric of society and foundation of human civilization. Our only hope is to create a newly founded society in the third-world that will launch the founding of an institutionalization of peace. Right now our society is founded on an institutionalization of violence and the overt level of expression of this violence is becoming so profound that you practically have to pack a gun when you go down to Burger King to secure your Whopper after you order it! We need to support the Earth Federation Movement to create a newly founded society in the form of a true global social democracy. Otherwise we are headed for complete plutocracy and absolute chaos which will result in the destruction of all humanity in the near future.

Just got a phone call near Toronto Ontario from a guy who said he was mike from windows. Thats not very descriptive? Apparently I have a virus on my computer. Psh. He asked me if I was aware of the problem and I said yes good bye.  I dont understand why they bother? Do they get money off of me by calling me? Or is it when I sign up for help? Stupid.

‎3 times this week I've received a call from "Microsoft". They are telling me they received reports with problems on my computer and want me to open my Teamviewer program...

First time I pretend I would do it if they would tell me what kind of problems I got... then they hang up...
Second time I pretend I only know one word in English: FRAUD!... then they hang up
Third time I told them I dont have a computer... Then they hang up...

Next time I'll pretend to do everything they ask me, but be r e a l l y impossible with on a computer... Hope that will drive them nuts. Pay back time!!

Same thing, got a call from someone saying they were from a company called Pixie (not absolutely sure as the caller had a heavy accent). She then went on to say that they're the official Windows support company and my computer was transmitting that it had a virus. I immediately told her there was no way that the computer would do that and supply my phone number. She assured me profusely that it did. I engaged her some more, but that was a mistake -- two minutes of my life I'll never get back. Sadly, there are people out there that fall for this scam.

What a loser! After I told him not to phone her again, he started insulting me, and then told me to hang up!!!! After I vented using words I shouldn't have, I did just that, hung up. If someone claims to be from Microsoft, or anywhere, and then asks you for info, it will never be legit.
