I didn't get the call but called the number back and it said that this was a travel issue. WTF!

Didn't pick-up because didn't recognize the 609 area code(turned out to be New Jersey.) No message left. This has happened before, although it's been at least six months since the last time.

So, we are logging these calls on this site but is anything actually being done? Is this site info reported to any agency that can actually do something or are we all just kvetching and wasting our time?

Got a call from this number yesterday about 7pm. Answered, no one there. Hung up.

this number called my phone around 8:30 PM .. i was busy so i couldn't answer it, they didn't leave a number or anything.

It is a matter of fact you are wasting your time. There is nothing against telemarketers because there is million of them and now they are calling from overseas thus the US law is out of their jurisdiction.
